If you like sterile, chain hotels, this is not the place for you. It is an old-time motor lodge that has been kept up well, is clean, and is staffed by people who could not be more helpful and kind. The rooms are comfortable and have their own individual heating and cooling. For many of the rooms, you can park directly in front of your door (request this if this is important to you). At check-in, we were given a little snack bag of chips, salsa, and cookies. A nice touch. And, the breakfast was incredible, especially since Covid guidelines are still in place. Everything was individually wrapped, and there were several hot entrees, which were served by one masked server, which included tamales, scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, etc. It was about .5 mile from the Plaza We loved it !

We loved our stay at El Pueblo Lodge! The accommodations were clean and comfortable, bed very comfortable, very spacious rooms, loved the fireplace, with couch and table to sit in front of. The refrigerator and microwave were a nice added convenience, we made use of both! The property has lovely amenities like gazebo with grills, picnic tables, frisbee golf, horseshoes, and we enjoyed sitting on our patio. Very picturesque and quiet setting. The breakfast in the morning was gourmet quality (especially loved the green chili on eggs!). The staff very friendly, especially Sylvia, who was a pleasure to chat with each day, and gave excellent recommendations for eating out (The Burger Stand right across street has excellent burgers!). The location is walking distance to all the shops. We chose to stay in Taos and drive the 30 minute drive up to Taos Mountain Ski, not a bad drive, and glad we stayed in town. Due to Covid there wasn’t much to do apre ski at Ski area. We will definitely stay here if ever we’re back this way!! Oh, all that and a great value too!

El Pueblo is a great Taos location - easy walk to the historic area and shops. The rooms aren't the biggest or most modern in town, but the location and especially the friendly and knowledgeable staff make it our favorite place to stay in Taos. Genuinely noteworthy is the fact that, despite Covid restrictions, they still manage to let you start your day with a good breakfast (included!).

This hotel's customer service is better than anywhere we have ever stayed!! We couldn't have been more happy with our stay. When we arrived, they gave us a bag with chips and salsa and chocolate chip cookies. They also told us to stop by and get some of their Green Chili Soup - Which we did, and it was delicious along with more chips and salsa. The room was very clean and just perfect with a fireplace and firewood. When we checked out they had a wonderful breakfast that was very well organized and had more options than any breakfast buffet we have seen. They served you due to Covid, and it was a great way to end our stay. We will definitely be back - they make you feel soo welcome here!

Absolute waste of money for the value 1. Cleanliness is absolutely not maintained. 2. Bathrooms are so small and don't have an exhaust fan. 3. Rooms are so small and crushed for families to stay in. 4. The breakfast area is so small and the options are very limited. Will I recommend this property - 1 / 10

Response from Kim Craig, General Manager at El Pueblo Lodge

1. We follow strict guidelines for cleaning and maintenance . 2 . We do have various Sizes of rooms. If you make a reservation for 1 person and Show up with 5 , and don’t tell us , we don’t have the opportunity to give you a larger room. We encourage guests to get our large breakfast to go , but have plenty of seating in the outdoor heated area. We have worked SO hard over the last 9 months for our guests to feel safe and comfortable . We bend over backwards to provide a superior experience for our guests, as indicated by THOUSANDS of great reviews. I noticed out of your last 10 reviews on google for various businesses 9 out of the 10, you have given a 1 star review. I hope you find what you are looking for in your future travels, we are not the place for you .
