Tremendous facility. The rooms were wonderful. The staff was very engaging. The food went beyond expectations. Made memories for a lifetime. The guides were extremely well informed and knowledgeable. The most amazing were the animals.
I kept reminding myself to just salute madikwe safari lodge for the phenomenal experience it had offered both myself and my husband, but i would specially love to thank our waiters Tumi and Owen and patricia for the great friendly service, Nial our ranger who showed abolute passion for what he is doing and towards his job, lebo the manger who loads of times was actually waiting for us at the entrance after a game drive to ask how the drive was, in the service industry that can be very rare at times and the amazing chef Girly and everyone else involved:) We especially enjoyed/appreciated the romamtic suprises set up for us whilst on the trip:) We had an absolute stunning time and would definitely take any oppurtunity to come back
We stayed in the Diathaba suites which was a smaller satellite lodge - they shuttled us to the main lodge to use the pool but we were still happy to be at Diathaba, it felt more exclusive and private with only 4 rooms. Dinner was beautiful set up outside on the balcony, no problems with bugs, food was excellent, service was excellent. Game drives were better than I expected for Madikwe - we saw more animals than I saw in Tanzania on a game drive! Lots of Rhino, also Lion. The guides were great and we had GREG who was very knowledgable and professional. He took us on a bush walk to track Rhino which was unforgettable. There were leopard and wild dog in the area - we got lucky with the wild dog and saw 7 puppies. The main lodge had a great waterhole in front of the…
I highly recommend Madikwe safari lodge to everyone, we went with a fiver year old and a 15 year old and had a great time. We stayed at a family suite, which was perfect and even had small pool outside. There were plenty activities for the little one and the rides were great, we saw all the big 5 except for leopards and many other animals.
We just spent 3 nights at the Safari Lodge for a family holiday. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff couldn’t have been anymore helpful and the lodge was fantastic. We had Niall for our guide and he was Fantastic. Full of information and so great with the kids. Highly recommend
