Please stay away from this Lodge ,they do not know how to treat guest,even with and error to our booking we made,they still didnt wnat to understand,and took more money from our credit card.Now nobody wants to take reposibility.They just out to steal guests money and take more and more.Stay away!!!!! Moreover he informed us that you still tried to charge the guest on Sunday additional 2712 ZAR for this reservation. The guest already checked out on the 03.01.2021 and the total price for this reservation should have been 7560 ZAR for two persons for two nights. Since the guest already checked out on the 03.01.2021 the rate for one nights for 2 persons should have been 3780 ZAR. Moreover on the 03.01.2021 you also deduct without authorisation the guest additionally 2425 ZAR. Since you tried to charge the guest more than he should have paid the guest checked out on 03.01.2021. You should refund the guest the difference between 5318 & 3780 ZAR = 1538 ZAR. You will go far to find a better staff contingent than the one's Patience has. They were all just amazing. Patience is one of the outstanding GM's in this group. aHa must look after her. Then there is Billy "The dungcollector" his Amsterdam (sorry Instagram) name. I have met many guides but he is the best. What a man with a huge personality and an even huger knowledge of animal, birds, plants and the veld. You get many guides that talk nonsense, Billy id straight to the point and truthful. I just love it. The food was great, the service better and the tents was amazing. Very private and clean. I highly recommend Thakadu..
I loved the lodge, staff are beyond helpful and always smiling and laughing. The service was great. Thye main thing was how good the food was all meals were excelent and I take my hat off to the chef and kitchen staff.
We highly enjoyed our first stay in Madikwe at Thakadu River Camp. Our overall experience at the Camp exceeded our expectations by far. The General Manager Patience, Modiegi and their entire team were very charming and attentive. The beautiful setting and pristine condition of the Camp, its tranquillity and excellent food make us want to come back soon.
Not only is the setup incredibly comfortable in a beautiful setting, but the friendly staff, delicious food and snacks, knowledgeable rangers, and all the COVID measures made our experience so much more than we could have asked and hoped for. HIGHLY recommended!
