#8 of 23 Speciality lodging in Madikwe Game Reserve
Travellers' Choice
Safari isn’t just safari anymore…. And game lodges aren’t all alike. Every visit really does need to be special and every moment something to be remembered forever. The Bush House is not your typical Game lodge. The Lodge is set in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve. It is an old farmhouse that after years of family laughter and happiness has been transformed into an inviting and relaxing residence that encourages guests to kick off their shoes and unwind.

This was probably our 5th stay at The Bush House. This time we took with some friends with. Again like all other visits it was great. Damond our guide did not disappoint with the great drives. Nadine made our stay so memorable as the organization with temperatures to be taken etc was flawless. Love this place. Rooms clean, food great, staff the best.

OK, so we made it back for the second time this year! When I asked my wife where she would like to go, The Bush House! was her response without even wondering. And once again we were not disappointed. In my previous review of this fantastic place I heralded the service, friendliness and everything else that makes this place a must visit. Often when one returns to a place something might be lacking from the previous visit, not at The Bush House. Everything is just of the same very high standard! This is place has really become "our" bush house. Great effort people!! Can't wait to be back!!

This was one of the most memorable stays I have had in all the years of going to game farms in South Africa. The Bush House has a very special place in my heart. The first thing that matters the most is that the people who work here really care about your well being. You are treated as if you are the only one staying here. And this type of treatment is extended to all the guests. The second thing is the quality of the game drives. Our guide was very professional and you can see he cares deeply for the wild and the environment. The place itself is MAGIC! Stunning sunrises and sunsets. The game viewing is Brilliant. The Food was absolutely delicious. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We will be back!

Our stay was comfortable. The game drives were spectacular. The Bush house staff was helpful and friendly. It's one of the best hides I have ever experienced. It felt like you could almost touch the animals . It was tranquil and very relaxing atmosphere .

My family and I had a lovely stay at The Bush House - staff are extremely warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The lodge is small and intimate and very family friendly. The place is clean and comfortable and the food good. Most incredible thing is their watering hole and hide. the watering hole in incredibly active - you can even miss the drives and just sit and have your drink right there! stunning. simply amazing how close you get to the elephants! thanks to the Bush House and the team for our stay!
