We have just got back from the most wonderful 2 nights at Simbivati Hilltop Lodge. From the moment you step into the lodge you are made to feel so special. It was my 50th celebration and they even made me a delicious chocolate cake. You can only but relax in their safari tents with an amazing day bed overlooking the dam! The staff are an absolute asset to the lodge and we thoroughly enjoyed our game drives with Frank and Derrick. This certainly was a very special holiday that we will never forget.
We managed to escape out if the city for a few days and could not have been more happy with our decision to go to Hilltop Lodge. The facilities are top notch, tasteful, relaxing and natural. The service is world class, each team member being well trained, able and most importantly, very passionate about their jobs. You can also see that the team (Bongi, Caroline, Daniel, Frank, Shaddy - to mention a few) all work very well together which makes the experience such a pleasure and all the more relaxing. The attraction here is the park, and we were extremely happy with this experience - even on those very few 'not so lucky' drives (as happens in nature), Frank and Shaddy kept us well entertained with interesting facts about nature, the bush and the eco system - super knowledgeable and well trained. Highly recommended - trip of a lifetime. We hope to be back soon.…
From the moment we arrived we where treated like VVIP. While we filled in the covid forms, sipping on lemonade, our luggage was taken to our luxury tent. The accommodation was beautiful with everything thing we needed. The bed was bit high, but luckily there was a foot stool which solved my problem...was quite funny. Don't even think about a diet.. had lunch as soon as we arrived, high tea before afternoon game drive, sunset drinks and snacks. A special dinner for our anniversary with a complimentary bottle of champagne. Wake up call was at 5 so that we could go on our sunrise drive. Stopped for coffee and rusks and then we had a wonderful brunch. Chilled on our day bed before and after lunch. We saw the big 5 on our first 2 game drives. Colbert our guide and Derrick our tracker was awesome. Even saw a pack of wild dogs. Bongi was excellent. Checked on us everytime she saw us. We even received a bag with goodies for the road when we left. Will definitely recommend a visit.…
We had a lovely stay at Simbavati Hilltop Lodge. The hospitality from every single employer was out of this world. They even went above and beyond in making our engagement a most memorable one! Everything from the food, to the private villa, the infinity pool, the boma dinners at night and the exciting game drives will stay with us for a very long time indeed. I highly recommend this beautiful place!
A very modern and beautiful bush camp, on a hill overlooking a dam. The rooms were superb with fabulous outside showers and outside daybeds and wonderfully appointed bathrooms. The only weird thing was the height of the bed in the room, which was over a metre off the floor and we had to jump to get on and off it and we're of average height. We had quite a few giggles over this. Staff was excellent. Guide Frank and tracker Evans were great and we had some superb sightings thanks to them. Food the first night was a huge disappointment, especially as I'd read such great reviews about it, but it did improve over the next few days.
