An opulent African adventure is in store, in the Timbavati and Umbabat Private Nature Reserve. Perched on a ridge, this hideaway boasts panoramic views of the Nhlaralumi River and Big Five terrain. Everything about this place deserves a 5 * rating!! The food, the safari guides, the service, the location - this was out first safari experience and we absolutely loved it! Saw everything on the game drives. Their motto is true to its core - ‘Arrive as a guest and leave as family!’ Febrice, the owner is so lovely and genuinely loves and respects all his staff - will definitely be back with the whole family for an unforgettable Motswari experience!! Thankyou Motswari family and bless you!

My family and I stayed for 3 nights in September and we were overwhelmed with the friendly and personable team, the lush lodge and its facilities and absolutely amazed at the diversity and accessibility of the wildlife. We would thoroughly recommend this beautiful and private lodge. Due to being part of the Timbavati Nature Reserve with no fences keeping the wildlife in one enclosed area, this made each day exciting and surprising. I wish we had stayed longer rather than booking the next stage of our stay at a much bigger (and busier) lodge which although another private reserve with amazing wildlife, had fenced in its wildlife.

a good friend and i just stayed here for four days and had a surreal and wonderful experience. truly a once in a lifetime experience in the most intimate of settings. the lodge has the welcoming feel of home with well-maintained but private bedrooms. There is a large common are with pool/seating and unending weed views of the land around the camp. The rooms are elegant and uniquely decorated in a more nostalgic/classic style. There are petite verandas that open up to nature outside - we had an outdoor shower - and spotted many animals and birds around the camp in between drives. There is an array of staff who are cohesive, attentive and ensure you are well looked after and well fed at all times. No small detail was overlooked by the lodge team on the drives or during our stay. food was fresh, varied and dinners were surprisingly elegant fine dining — so foodies would be very happy here ! the main attraction of course is the wildlife and nature seen on the drives. we had the best guide/tracker team in Landon and Jacky who opened our eyes and ears to more than just the big 5 (which we saw up close and personal multiple times!) - but even the starry nights, the bird calls, and vast expanse of different terrains were showcased for their beauty. what a gift to have stayed here. will recommend to anyone considering the area and hope to be back soon myself.

Our stay at Geiger’s Camp left us totally speechless. Everything was more than perfect. Our room, the whole camp, food (like in the top restaurant!), the atmosphere and the hospitality of the amazing staff. I was crying when it came to say goodbye! Because of Josh and David each game drive was stunning! For sure we will come back, I don’t want to look for another camp for our next visit in S.A because we can go back to our home away from home! Thank you for making our 5 wedding anniversary so special. Love you all! Monika and Mariusz

This place was a dream. Pardon my lengthy review but I don't want to miss any details and neither did the staff at Geigers Camp when we were there. We ended up having the place to ourselves for the first night and it was my birthday...(I'm not one for the spotlight) but the entire staff team made the day and night very special. Now let's get to the game viewing....WOW.....Every drive with Landon and Jacky was an adventure. It truly felt like I was witnessing a National Geographic special in real life....from the elephants trumpeting and chasing away a couple leopards that threatened the young, to the pack of wild dogs on a hunt, to the elusive white lion, I can barely find the words to capture the truly amazing memories. Special thanks to Landon and Jacky for sharing their extensive knowledge and passion for the animals, I share in their belief that the animals should be respected and appreciated for the majestic beauty they possess. Thank you to Prince and Trust for always making us feel special and welcomed, thank you to Eugenia and Pretty, who deserve to be on MasterChef with the delicious food they prepared. You owe it to yourself to experience this wonderful place.

Arriving at Geigers Camp the literature said 'arrive as a visitor, leave as a friend' and that was very true. We arrived after a long day of travel, flying into Nelspruit and driving to the lodge via Motswari Camp. When we first arrived Anthony was waiting with a drink and cold towels and shortly afterwards, having seen our lovely room and eating a late lunch, we went out on our first game drive with Landon as our guide and Jacky our tracker. It was stunning to see animals in their natural environment and so close to us although we only got close when the animals were unstressed by our presence. Every single member of staff we met went out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. Anthony was always there on our return from a game drive usually with a very welcome drink and the cold towels too. The food was outstanding, and the whole experience was amazing. Hard to imagine how this could possibly have been better. We stayed 4 nights and saw every animal we had hoped to see. Landon and Jacky were so friendly and knowledgeable about the animals and the area. Truly a fantastic experience and very sad to leave.

Very rarely can you write a review about somewhere that is faultless - Geiger's Camp is the exception. It is in a wonderful setting where you are in the Timbavati in all its natural splendour and wildness. The food and hospitality were first class and you could not be better looked after than by Anthony and his team. The accommodation is excellent and homely, in the best sense of the word. The game drives - 2 a day starting at 5 am and 4 pm, each lasting about 3/4hours - are a great adventure where wild animals - the big five come within touching distance. Jeremy and Release - the Guide and Tracker - were very knowledgeable, entertaining and good fun. This was an amazing adventure and experience which I would recommend to anyone. My advice would be to stay for at least 3 nights to get the full experience.

Stayed 4 nights in November and found the whole experience absolutely faultless. The room, food and drink, setting were all perfect. Special mention to Prince for looking after us at the lodge and to Landon and Jacky on the game drives - all were exceptional and made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Fantastic traditional “braai” and dancing on the last night was a lovely surprise. We also did the night in the Giraffe’s Nest treehouse which we thoroughly recommend, again all organised so seamlessly. If we were to make the smallest of recommendations for changes it would be to have actual sun loungers around the pool so you can properly snooze off the early start during the day ahead of the evening game drive. Other than that, we would not change a thing. We were genuinely sad to leave and cannot wait to return!

We loved everything about our stay; the location, the food, the staff, the rooms and last but not least the game drives. It's a small camp/hotel, perfect place to unwind between the drives. A suggestion would be to have a few more sun chairs (We were there in March 2022 not sure if they changed anything since). I definitely recommend it and would gladly go again!

Everything was organized perfectly, the guide’s were very enthusiastic, the staff hospitable. And the location is so perfect to see the big five, and more. We saw them all, thanks to Sean and Elli. They made us feel very welcome, thanks to Anthony and Grace for their great hospitality. Graced cooked with only local natural products.
