I truly cannot put into words what a dream this experience was. Everything from the accommodations to the staff to the food and - of course - the 2x a day safari — PERFECT. I’ve been dreaming about taking my fam on a safari for years, this was perfect. There is truly not a single thing I could change - that’s how good they are. The staff truly made sure our time was magic. Specially, Elvis & Remember were the dream duo of tracker and driver for our safaris. Within our first couple rides, their skills allowed them to help us see all animals. They were intentional, educational, kind & pure joy. It was a gift to experience the bush alongside their talents. I hope to come back again, and I never want to repeat a trip. That’s HOW GOOD they are. Don’t think twice, GO.
Traveled to King's Camp from the USA and didn't really know what to expect. The staff greeted us with smiles and delicious drinks at the entry and were very kind and welcoming throughout the entire trip! The rooms were very beautiful and spacious and the whole property had a comfortable yet eloquent vibe. The food was excellent, the chef was very accommodating and didn't mind making modifications when asked. We went on "game drives" (safaris) twice per day with Neil, our guide, and our tracker, Donald. They made the trips SO much fun! We chased after a pack of wild dogs, saw a lion climb up a tree, and watched in awe as a herd of elephants passed our jeep. The experience was something we will remember forever--thank you to the amazing staff of heroes, esp Neil and Donald! <3
The best overall bush experience in South Africa! This is a quality camp with fabulous accommodations, excellent food, and a staff extraordinaire. I just took my 19 year old granddaughter on her first trip to Africa. She says of everyplace we stayed Kings Camp was her favorite. She summed it up by saying “they made me feel like family”. She did the rhino tagging experience which I highly recommend. It was over the top. This was my 4th or 5th visit and my only sadness was not being able to stay longer. From the moment you step onto the property you will be wowed. Our guide was Remember and our tracker Albert. We saw the most remarkable game. They outdid themselves. Unbelievable. Next time I’ll stay a week.
We have spent 3 days at Kings Camp. We enjoyed them so intensely, that it seemed more like a week. The service of the staff and the architecture of the lodge make you feel like a royal family. The surroundings are examplary of the the beautiful nature South-Africa has to offer. The guide (NIck) and the tracker Sunny-boy made the safaris an exciting as well as an instructive experience. We carry the memories of Kings Camp as a treasure deep in our hearts. Warren and Lisha made us feel at home right from the start and even took the trouble to send a simple but dear cardigan, I had lost on the way to the airstrip, all the way to Holland.
We had a great stay at King's Camp. Staff were great. Food excellent Our guide Cynet and tracker Albert had a hard time with the lush foliage this time of year. But we still had some amazing sightings. We saw 10 different leopards Wild dogs Lions Rhino And all the usual animals you'd expect to see
We spent 3 nights at Kings Camp and don't have enough superlatives to describe the experience. From start to finish, the attention to detail has been outstanding. The food has been exceptional and every aspect of the service has been attentive without being intrusive. The game drives were just spectacular and our ranger went to extra effort to track game we wanted to see. Personal greetings every time we arrived made the whole experience exceptional. Couldn't recommend highly enough and worth the money.
We had 4 nights here and loved it, having had to postpone our visit twice. We are return guests and received a warm welcome back from Warren, Lisha and the team. We stayed in our favourite room (11- a honeymoon suite). The camp was very quiet due to having suffered many cancellations due to Omicron but nonetheless the experience offered was simply world class, from the game drives with Elvis and Remember to the excellent food prepared by chef Gareth. The only slight change we would make is to the Boma dinner where guests sit side by side in a crescent shape which we don't feel is conducive to social dining. Can't wait to return, a big thanks to Warren, Lisha and the whole team
We spent 4 nights at Kings Camp and it was beautiful. The management and staff are all super attentive and are there for anything you need. Big thanks to our guide Remember and our tracker Elvis, you guys did a stunning job. The food was amazing and big thanks go out to Gareth. The Bush was really dense which made animal spotting hard but we still managed to see most things. Next time we'll make sure it's SA winter when the Bush is low. Can only HIGHLY recommend Kings Camp. Thanks team for looking after us.
My husband and Visited Kings Camp in 2015 and returned again with our adult children for our 30th wedding anniversary. Each day was more memorable than the last. The staff is incredible. They are professional and gracious. They took such good care of our family! Our safari driver, Remember, and our tracker, Elvis, taught us so much about the bush and the majestic animals we encountered. Lions, rhinos, elephants, cape buffulo, hippos, hyenas, the list goes on. The chef and his staff never disappointed. Each meal was outstanding and well presented. We loved the new renovations and gathering spaces with a plunge pool at each villa. Look no further, book your stay at Kings Camp for the experience of a lifetime.
We stayed at Kings Camp in Nov 21 for my wifes birthday. Everything about it by far exceeded our expectations. The location, the wildlife and game drives, the qualtiy and of food and accommodation and attentions to detail had us speechless from time to time. Thanks to management and staff, last but not least to THB Travel in Johannesburg who planned our entire holiday in ZA. Thank you all for an unforgetable experience ! Kurt & Jenny, Austria
