Me and my wife went to Simbavati for our Honeymoon, I arranged to have something special done for us, and on arrival I did not receive the romantic gesture that I wanted but none the less the second night they pulled out all the stops, champagne and candlelight dinner, with lamb chops. Was amazing. Clemont our guide and Humpfree our tracker are very good. They learn you alot and share alot of knowledge. OB our “butler” was a wonderful guy, so helpful and always with a smile. The service was great, precisely what you would expect from these lodges! Food was great and wonderful portions, at some times we wanted to skip lunch, but the food is too good to miss. The Boma braai was great. Enjoying a real wonderfull dinner. We were lucky and had a good group of poeple at pur table and could have some meaningful conversation. The unfortunate reality of these places are, you pay a very high amount and expect to see everything that your heart desires, well that is what the guide would like to offer and we fully understand this, the problem is we dont need to drive right next to the lions or leopards, or drive through the bush to see the lion one more time, I think most of is on the back had the same feeings about this, but for a person who has not experienced the wild in such a manner and will never come and experience africa like this I can understand it. While I am complaining abput this other people are saying they did not drive far enough in the bush. For me the constant driving between sightings was a nit to much. My wife loved it and would say this was her highlight, seeing a leopard then a lion then a elephant and Buffalo and back to lions. Except this small problem. I loved it. I am trying to get a spot to go back in June! It stole my heart.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Simbavati River Lodge. The drive was longer than we expected but definitely worth the trip. The location of the property is wonderful - right by the river. Rooms and service were top class. We did see animals on the game drive but they could increase the population here and there

Our family with 2 young children had a wonderful two days at Simbavati River Lodge. We saw a leopard, elephants, giraffe, zebra, rhino, hyenas, warthogs, lions, and more. Nicole and Doctor are the best and ensured we had a great time. Doctor is great at spotting chameleon. The lodge had a Junior Ranger program with badges and certificates which was the highlight for my children. The pool, kids club and gym were nice. The room was perfect for our family with everything we needed. Very attentive safe. Wish we could stay longer. If you have the chance go!

I want to say a HUGE thank hou to all the staff At simbavati River lodge. From the moment we arrived Bongi made us feel so special and we were spoilt all the time. The game drives was my favourite and Derick and Colbert were a great time who put in so much effort into what they love and their passion really showed. The food was incredible and mind blowing - fine dine meals in the middle of the Bush. Daniel and Andrew were so friendly and caring. I would highly recommend this place above any other if you want an authentic real Bush experience and really be in nature, track animals and be spoilt at the same time. Thank you for everything, we will never forget this time - love Laura and Albert

World class 4 night safari trip during which we were privileged to get up close and personal with the Big 5 as well as follow a pack of Wild Dogs on the move. Our guide Julie was very engaging, warm and friendly and was assisted by Nkosinathi who put his exceptional tracking skills and bush knowledge to great use in helping us find the elusive game in the lush green bush. We stayed in luxury safari tents which were very well appointed and most comfortable. Meals were delicious, served in an outside dining area with great views of the nearby waterhole and river bed. The chef went to great lengths to accommodate dietary limitations and service was always attentive and professional. A New Year's dinner was enjoyed in the Boma and we were entertained by staff members with an impromptu singing and dancing performance. Overall a really fantastic trip

Dear John, Thank you so much for the feedback. So incredibly lucky with your sightings during your stay - those excellent tracker eyes make all the difference in this lush bush after the rains! Julie and Nkosinathi are both smiling with the review, and the rest of the team are all pleased that you enjoyed the food, rooms and singing. They have new dance outfits now and hope that you, Carol and Lauren will come back for another performance. Have a wonderful New Year.
