We visited Senalala for the third time last July for four consecutive days. Before we arrived Corlia had been very helpful in arranging our stay and getting there in terms of COVID regulations. We got a very warm welcome from Corlia, James and Connor and felt at home from the very first moment that we arrived. Game drives were amazing! The animals decide whether or not they want to show themselves, and therefore you never know up front what to see (or not to see), given that you are out in the bush. However, Connor and James tried all their best to locate animals, and this resulted in brilliant sightings! We saw the Big 5, wild dogs, and lots of other great animals. The food was superb, very tasty and also very diverse. The lodge itself is beautiful, the rooms each contain a very nice painting of animals, have a luxurious bathroom, and our room (number 8) also had an outside shower. There is a water hole in front of the lodge - and during our first lunch we were welcomed by a large herd of elephants running towards the water hole for a refreshing drink. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and do recommend Senalala to others. We have also visited other private lodges in South Africa, but none can compete with this one (in this price range). We can’t wait to return again for our fourth stay!

I had an amazing 4 days at Senalala Safari Lodge and Klaserie private reserve! The luxurious accommodations make for a very relaxing, comfortable stay, especially when combined with the spectacular meals that are prepared throughout the day. The reserve has plenty of wildlife roaming around with something new to see or track down on every game drive. I was traveling solo during the trip, and James, Corlia, and Connor were fantastic hosts who made the visit very welcoming and thoroughly enjoyable. Would definitely come back!!

We absolutely loved our stay in Senalala Safari Lodge! With so many choices we felt that what set Senalala apart from other places was its service. James and Corlia, run a great business. They were happy to answer all of our questions and provided great service. They even ate all of the meals with us and we simply enjoyed their company. Connor was also a fantastic guide. He was so nice and friendly and did his absolute best to make sure we would get maximum value for our game drives. We saw all the big 5 plus wild dogs! The accommodation was fantastic and my mom and I were honoured to be the first Americans staying there in close to a year. There are some fantastic places to relax while not on the game drives, the food was diverse and fantastic and there was an exquisite variety of wine and beer to choose from while not on the drives. Once again however, what truly sets Senalala apart from other game reserves is James, Corlia and Connor. It is not always a guarantee how many animals you will see or if weather will cooperate (though we had excellent luck regarding both), it is a guarantee however, that these three will go out of their way to provide you with excellent service, care and company during your stay. I can't recommend this place enough and hope to go back soon!

Senalala has it all! It’s the perfect combination of comfort, luxury and incredible wildlife viewing. Set in the beautiful Klaserie Nature Reserve, the lodge overlooks a private watering hole which allows guests to frequently see animals from their rooms, the dinner table or even the pool! Hosts James and Corlia are extremely welcoming, professional and ensured our stay was nothing short of amazing! The food was a definite highlight for me too! Our guide, Connor, was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning and evening game drives with him. We saw all the wildlife (you name it - we saw it!) and were treated to multiple leopard sightings, a pack of 30 wild dog and the River Pride of lions. Senalala provides you with the utmost comfort- their beds are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! The WiFi is also great (extremely fast) and if you feel the need to work-out the lodge has a very nice gym. Overall I’d definitely recommend Senalala- it’s the perfect bush holiday!

A fantastic week! We felt very welcomed by the amazing hosts and owner. The guide Connor was great. The food was delicious. Rooms were super comfortable with views of the floodlit waterhole. Sightings were the highlight, saw the River Pride of 20+ lions, numerous leopard sightings (one 20min outside camp) and another time mating leopards, a pack of 30+ wild dogs with pups waking up after their afternoon nap and even elusive animals such as side striped jackal (our first), a caracal and even a short glimpse of an aardvark! Special memories and definitely the highlight of 2020.
