With the Covid stresses of travelling and awaiting PCR tests etc I had been nail bitingly stressed not knowing if we would actually make this trip happen but as soon as we arrived at Ivory Wilderness I felt a wave of calm settle over my husband and I. We were offered a drink and an elephant walked down to the dried river bed in front of us...heaven!
The beds were super comfortable and all the Africology products ensure you and your room smell divine. The small swimming pool (unheated) was the perfect temperature and my 2 children (7 & 5) played and swam whilst my husband and I killed around and relaxed and slept.
Warren and his team were very attentive, always around if we needed them but giving us our privacy.
The meals were all delicious and home cooked by Agreement the cook and we were never hungry. They were very accommodating creating options for the kids and we always had at least 2 options.
And then the game drives, always best to go super early and a hot chocolate and coffee was always waiting for you but if you wanted to go a bit later that was accommodated and Warren always assessed the weather before he woke us up. The Klaserie is teaming with wildlife and Warren is quite an eccentric guide that is very in touch with the animals and gives them huge amounts of respect and is also hugely knowledgable. He has spent most of his life on or near this reserve and seems to know it like back if his hand. He is an amazing tracker and makes a point of tracking the harder to find animals like leopards. Warren is also very engaging with the children and always has plenty of interesting facts to keep them entertained.
All in all a wonderful relaxing few days spent here. Thank you!

We were happy to return to Ivory after we had stayed with them in 2018 (previous location) and we were again impressed with how they run this lodge. Excellent service, good food and very enthousiast rangers who made us love the bush even more than we already did. I already miss the place and can't wait to return there. Only thing I slightly missed was airco, but then I would have to rate this lodge 6 stars out of 5.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in March, this was our first safari and to be honest I don’t think we could have picked a better place. From the moment we arrived we were taken aback by the scenery and hospitality and it just got better from there on. The game drives were an education and experience that we will never forget, which all goes down to Warren & Craig’s enthusiasm, knowledge and respect for the environment and wildlife. We’ve never been so happy to be woken at 4:30am because we knew we would be experiencing something new each day. On top of that the food was amazing, accommodating my dietary needs with superb options, so I never felt as though I was having to compromise. Accommodation was equally excellent and to top it all off the staff were wonderful, Tandy always making sure we were OK and being looked after. Goscelin, Craig & Warren you have created a unique and personal experience and one we will never forget.

We had the most amazing long weekend at Ivory Wilderness! I have been on many guided safaris and Craig is by far the best guide I have ever known. He is so in tune with, knowledgeable of and passionate about the bush. The location along the Klaserie River is breathtaking and the game density is impressive. With some luck, along with expert tracking, we saw the big five and everything in between during our 3 night stay. On top of the amazing wildlife was the wonderful hospitality. Our whole experience felt personalized as they accommodated all our special interests such as doing a trail on foot and making sure to be at a good view spot for each sunset. We even had a special birthday celebration the one night and the staff were excited to help us decorate their boma for such an occasion. The rooms were tasteful and luxurious. The food was both healthy and delicious. I wouldn't have changed a thing. It was great value for money and we enjoyed every minute. We would love to go back soon!

We had a great stay at Ivory Wilderness Lodge in January. My husband, 17 year old son and I stayed 3 nights at Ivory Wilderness. Everything was excellent from the lodging, to the highly personalized, skilled, professional guiding, to the meals and overall service. We particularly liked the personal touch of all staff. We saw multiple leopards, lions, elephant, giraffe, antelope - all via the skilled guides using sight, sound, scent, footprint tracking and technology. We were able to get much closer to the animals than I anticipated and the experience was as much educational as observation. Highly recommend Ivory Wilderness!

Ivory Wilderness is a very confortable lodge, with a limited number of guests. The setting is wonderfull and the poeple working there are all dedicated to make you feel confortable. They're doing perfectly well.
The rangers are extremely talented and have a unique way to treat animals. You can feel how much they care about nature. Walking with them is a one of a kind experience.
We had an AMAZING time there. That's the opinion of a french guy who was on his 7th trip to the South African reserves.

My wife, 2 kids (11 and 8) and I just spent three nights here. It's our second family safari holiday and third for my wife and I. From minute one this is a high class operation. The lodge only accommodates 8 people with one safari truck so is a very exclusive and personal experience. The staff are wonderful and Craig and Warren create a very personal family feeling to the whole affair. Accommodation is great. The food is exquisite. And the staff are friendly, helpful and informative. The safari experience is second to none. Craig and Warren grew up here and their excitement and enthusiasm for the animals, the habitat and the reserve is utterly infectious. They are extremely knowledgeable, adept at tracking elusive animals, full of knowledge but more importantly mindful of respect for the animals , their habitat and their feelings as well as conservation. They were very kind and enthusing for the kids and, in the case of my son, very patient! We will come back. Without doubt. And will recommend to everyone for a wonderful exclusive safari experience in a very personal way.

My wife and I decided to go for a weekend Safari and chose a location where there were less people. We flew to Hoedspruit and had the hotel shuttle service take us to the Ivory Wilderness lodge. It was worth the drive away from the airport. What an unbelievable 4 day/3 nights. Shane our guide was a walking encyclopedia and knew so much about the bush and the surroundings. He made the early mornings (and late evening) rides entertaining and interesting. He had the ability to take us off the beaten path to find the Big 5 and everything else in between. When we were not on a safari drive and at the hotel Agreement and the rest of her staff made sure we were taken care of throughout the day. The resort is small which was amazing as it was peaceful and quite. Orla was available to answer any questions and setup a helicopter tour for us. Seeing Blyde River Canyon and the wild animals from overhead was amazing on its own. We had an amazing experience at this resort. We highly recommend it but you should experience it for yourself.
