Reading all the reviews, we had very high expectations before our stay. I must say that Kapama somehow managed to exceed them. Right from the pickup at the airport we knew it would be an amazing experience. The game drives were spectacular. We loved our...More
This was our first safari so I didn't know what to expect.
I liken it to a land cruise with animals.
Our suite was magnificent. A large bedroom (and equally large bed), wonderful bathroom and patio with pool. Everything was spotless. We could watch impala...More

I loved our one night stay here. I wished we did 2 nights but on the other hand, what we got for the 1 night was more than we expected. First, the level of service. We had one ranger the whole stay and he was...More

Hi. we were at kapama southern camp and agent advised the luxurious suites which were wonderful. I can't comment on the normal suites which I did not see, but two different parties we spoke to said it was a bit disappointing as the pictures they saw were of the luxurious suites. I think they felt the suites were a little small and less private in comparison as the luxurious suites were detached and single units, if you know what I mean

Hello, we were there in early August - my understanding is that winter ends at the end of July. In early August, an unusual cold front came in so in the day, we were fine with a long sleeve shirt. But early morning and evenings, especially when on Safari in a moving vehicle, it was extremely cold. We had fleece jackets but needed the blankets and hot water bottles they provide to keep warm on Safari. All dinners are outside at the Boma; For lunch and breakfast, you are in a covered, but open area so you get some shelter from wind. With layers, including our fleece jackets, we were only cold during the safari drives early morning and at the end of the day drives. I wish i could give you a temperature range but i never really checked. We were so glad we did this!
