The lodge has the best location directly on the river. From the pool you can see elephants, monkeys, impalas, hippos and much more. The staff is very courteous, professional and always up for a joke. Also the privat atmosphere creates a nice and easy vibe around the lodge. The game drives were always entertaining and very informative. In addition to the numerous animals, there were many stories on cultural topics, exciting insights into the plant world and insights into the work of the rangers (reading tracks). All in all, it was an incomparable stay that will always remain in our minds. Many thanks to the whole team. We will come back for sure!

Property's Favourite Review
We stayed in the family room. Bed was extremely comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. Beautiful view from our rondavel. 3 meals a day, food was healthy and very well balanced. Lucia the chef made my son soo happy as she made him a hollandaise sauce at his request. Ismael was awesome too offering us his signature cocktails every evening. Mareycke service was always friendly and welcoming

We booked the 5 day safari package and could not be more satisfied with our stay. The location is beautiful, right at the Olifant river. The view from the lodge is great, just sitting by the pool you will spot many animals. While there are lots of animals around, you should have in mind that this part of the bush is pretty dense and hilly, which can make it hard to spot animals. But this is not a zoo, it is all down to luck. We were extremely lucky and saw a big family of lions with cubs having a nice dinner right next to the road and many elephants. But this is not guaranteed. Our private bungalow was really nice with a view of the river and enough privacy from other guests or the staff. It was also cleaned everyday. The staff is extremely friendly and we felt treated with immense care and respect. Shoutout to Eric and his lovely calm aura while presenting food or drinks, to Lucia for the amazing food and warm smiles, and especially to William our amazing tour guide, who drove us from and to the airport and made us experience the bush with such love and detail. If possible, we will be back asap and recommend it to anyone that wants to relax and experience nature/the bush. Ryan & Johanna

We had a fantastic stay at Emhosheni. The staff at the Lodge goes out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible. Delicious food served every day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were perfect! Also, the Game Drives we booked through the lodge were super fun. Dennis was a great ranger who knew a lot about all the wildlife in Kruger. The location of the lodge is also great! We were lucky enough to spot an awful lot of animals along the river. We saw lions, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, impalas. It was fantastic! We were incredibly lucky. Andrew, Sonia and the entire staff of Emhosheni, thank you so much for the wonderful days and your hospitality.

Thank you so much for our very perfect stay at Emhosheni! The lodge is fabulous located close to the river! We saw directly from our balcony lions, hunting an Impala !!!!, 4 hippos fighting against each other, elefants eating, playing, swimming in the river, baboons, warthogs, Impala-herds, a crocodile eating a waterbock! We really didn‘t trust our eyes - UNBELIEVEABLE experiences! It was so fantastic. Beside we used the pool, could relax, had very nice food and drinks! Always accompanied with a friendly smile of the people working there! The safaris were perfectly organized! We loved the drives through the bush! There is so much to see! Elefants, lions - very close to look at! We saw giraffes, buffalo, lots of beautiful birds, herds of impala, Kuduu, we missed nothing! The Rangers (Sanelly and Yoppie) were so nice, knew everything and didn‘t get tired to answer all our questions! Our experiences there I will tell for sure my grandchildren, when I am an old Lady!

Our stay was excellent. It was 5 nights with a spectacular view of the river full of hippos. We found everything very clean and we liked the food. Everyone worked hard to adapt everything ( game drives and day trips) to both the couple and the children.

First of all, we have been on several safari trips throughout: SA, Namibia, Botswana, Uganda. This was the first trip we have been disappointed. The bush is beautiful, but really empty. Even smaller animals where hard to find and the elephants where most of the time far out and solo. Same goes for some hippos we saw. To far away to even take a picture. After 3 game drives and talking to the game driver what to expect furthermore, we decided to leave this place. We came to see the animals and there were just so view and also in diversity. We were most of the time literally only spotting bush chickens! So we made a booking in the south of the park (lots of animals there and an amazing lodge) Honestly, we should have gone there instead waisting time here). We really regret this lodge provided us with false information about the animals in this area. We even have asked specific by email. Also the gamedriver told us this was normal for the north and never would have recommended to do many game drives in this area. We only spend one day at this lodge, but they did charged us the whole amount for the full 5 days including the extra package for the non used games drives and full board food. That seemed normal to this management. This is Not something we are used to in South Africa. Having said that, it’s a nice lodge and great executive staff. If your planning to do some reading or some relaxation in a quiet surrounding, this is the place for you. Otherwise not worth it. Ps: the pool needed some attending to. It was not clean when we were there.

We spent 6 nights at Emhosheni and enjoyed our time there. The location is superb overlooking the river so there is often action around the lodge. Elephants and hippos were always around. The units are lovely, the staff helpful and friendly and the food fulfilling and inventive. The only downside are the state of the roads through out the reserve which we feel make the game drives limiting (the more area you cover the more you possibly can see).

Oh, wow!!! Did we ever need to stay at this lodge!! We arrived after a very hectic week of touring the Kruger and Victoria Falls. The road to get to the lodge inside the reserve is a bit rough, but once there, are you ever treated well!!!! Each and every staff member went out of their way to greet us and see that we had everything we needed and wanted. The tables were meticulously set at each meal by Eric, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxing. The chef crafted food into pure luxury. We were so spoiled! And I haven't even begun to talk about the views, the animals (up close and personal), and the conversations... treat yourself and stay here!!!
