Well it's been almost exactly 7 years since I discovered Toro Yaka Bush Lodge and that stay compelled me to write my very first Trip Advisor review because my visit was so stunning. I made a promise to my wife and myself that we would return, this time with my wife. Well it took awhile but it happened. Have just had the most magical 5 nights back at Toro Yaka. Again from the moment we arrived until we departed, we were impressed and appreciative of the quiet serenity of this boutique lodge, the natural beauty within where it is set and all the attention to details that Nicole and her team put in. I remember my first visit well and I'm pleased to say that the standard has not dropped in the slightest. The lodge has been beautifully maintained, the meals still remain a…
Toro Yaka was recommended to us by our son and it was recommended to him by his friend and we will do so as well - what better accolade can there be? The whole team make you feel like one of the family, they all greet you personally as you arrive and after each game drive and again as you leave. Michael was our guide and he is an absolute expert at tracking down the animals. The food was brilliant with a good mix of individual and group seating arrangements. This place is not cheap but the quality of accommodation, service and food is worth every penny. If you want a quality stay near Kruger with game drives this is the place to come! Thank you Nicole, Steve and the team for an unforgettable experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay at Toroyaka. Nicole, Steve and staff were great hosts. Game drives with Mike and George, who shared their passion and expertise, an obvious highlight what a privilege to see the animals and birds. Accommodation very comfortable and delicious food. Thank you to all. Hope to return one day.
Fantastic crew at Toro Yaka made us feel at home. Great safaris, tremendous food, comfortable accommodation and great G&T’s at sunset. Highly recommend Toro Yaka to anyone looking for a personalised African safari holiday. Thanks Amore, Mike, Steve and all the lovely ladies.
We only had one regret coming to Toro Yaka.. we didn't stay long enough!!!!! What an amazing place! The lodge is close to Hoedspruit airport where we flew in to (from Cape Town) and our driver was there waiting for us (arranged by Toro Yaka), the trip was about 45 mins total to the lodge. Nicole and Amore, with their staff Brenda, Tholapi & Goodman were incredibly warming and the service was amazing and attentive. It was great having the staff join us for some meals and it felt like a home away from home just chatting about our safaris and animals and life in South Africa! Our room was always made up and spotless, with lots of nice little touches that set this place apart from most other places! Dinners in the Boma were always a great way to wind down and enjoy some of the…
