From the moment we arrived at the Kruger Bush Camp we knew it was a very special place. We were only there one night but wish it had been for longer. We were met by Melvin who escorted us to the camp and greeted with a welcome drink of fizz before being shown to our beautiful accommodation. So luxurious and well equipped with an inside/outside shower & private balcony overlooking the watering hole. The grounds were beautifully maintained and it was so peaceful. A gorgeous little oasis. We had two game drives booked.. The evening drive was with Koos who went out of his way to find as much wildlife as possible and he didn't disappoint. Towards the end of the drive we were driven up the mountain to see the magnificent views of the Balule Reserve and watch the sunset with beers & refreshments. Simply stunning! We'd just got back to camp, having given up the hope of seeing a leopard (the only one of the Big 5 we'd not seen) when he suddenly called us back to the game viewer as one had been spotted nearby. We were so fortunate to see it lying by the river and so grateful for him for going the extra mile for us. The next day we had an early morning drive with Isabel. Big shout out to her! She was incredible and was the person who we dealt with when booking our stay. She was so knowledgeable and took us all over the reserve. There was no shortage of animals & birds. We were so lucky! We stopped for coffee and biscuits on top of a ridge overlooking the river and the views of the Draken mountains in the distance were breathtaking. Would highly recommend staying at Lamai Safaris. Such pleasant, cheerful staff who go out of their way to make your stay extra special.

Kruger Bush camp is a real country stay in the bush. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was the real South African style and always delicious. The chalet was very clean with a country style. Zeze our game driver was "top notch". We were all sad to leave and hope we will get the opportunity to visit them again. Best stay over in the wilderness. It was really the money worth..

The Kruger Bush Camp advertises itself as a tented camp in the lowveld bush. What no ad can convey, however is the personal hospitality that Gert and Isabel extend to all guests. Immediately upon arrival we were drawn into the kitchen and introduced to other guests who were already at home in the kitchen in true country style. This set the tone for our weekend. It was like homecoming among friends we had only just met. This was truly an uplifting experience that we would happily recommend to anyone. Jan & Hennah

Gert and Isabel have an amazing camp. The first night a Leopard walked straight to the camp waterhole where we then watched it drink and call it’s mate. We then spent the next 3 days covering an awesome traverse that not many private lodges can boast. This really ensured we got the full experience and were able to tick off all of our bucket list items. Their guide Harrison was also top class and had facts about every single animal we could spot. I’d highly recommend the tenting option, the sounds at night are incredible and coming from just a few meters away it really does give you a great experience. The passion that Gert and Isabel put into their lodge experience was highly appreciated and it’s fantastic to see their genuine happiness from seeing their guests enjoying their bush experiences as well. I’ll certainly be going back again, it’s a 10/10 experience with great staff, genuinely interested owners and a real bush setting.
