Just four magnificently appointed chalets sleeping only eight people, right in the heart of Big Five country within the borders of the greater Kruger National Park!!!! Without a doubt, Naledi offers you the most personal, intimate experience anywhere In the region – and at a price often less than half of what you would expect to pay elsewhere! At Naledi we only ever have a maximum of eight guests on our game viewer, only eight relaxing on our beautiful swimming pool deck overlooking the river bed and our private waterhole where one can enjoy the daily parade of animals and birds coming to drink and feed in total peace and tranquility. Our lodge is our passion, showing people our private piece of wild Africa our greatest pleasure, and that means introducing you to the bush and all its creatures, from lions and elephants, to antelope and birds is something we always look forward to ! At Naledi you’ll find aircon throughout, delicious meals, elegant surroundings, a fabulously stocked bar, fun, relaxation and excitement in equal portions, but best of all, you’ll arrive as strangers, and leave as friends!!
We had a wonderful stay at the Naledi lodge. During our game drives with our fantastic guides Oupa and Excellent we could see the big 5 and many other animals really close. Also the food from Chef Dudu was an absolute highlight and every member of staff went out of their way to make our stay a remarkable experience! We would love to come back!

The team at Naledi went above and beyond to make our first Safari absolutely perfect. The entire staff was beyond friendly and accommodating, and our guide Oupa and tracker Excellent were fantastic. Because this lodge is quite small compared to some of the other larger lodges, everything was very personalized. We stayed in the Rockfig suite, which was lovely, with plenty of space for my husband and I! The lodge serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner which are curated by Chef Dudu - everything we ate was amazing!! Since we were there celebrating our honeymoon, they also set up the sweetest dinner in our room which was so nice! One thing to note is that the rooms do have quite a lot of bugs, but to be expected in the wild :) Overall, 10/10 - would highly recommend for your stay!!

We originally found Naledi whilst doing our research on line and decided that this was the place we wanted to go to, to experience our first safari. We therefore planned out entire South Africa trip around it and boy was it the best decision we ever made, save for inviting our grown up family along!! From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. We stayed in Rockfig and Leadwood, which were beautifully decorated, immaturely clean and offered a window to the wildlife. Within moments of arriving a message from our daughter told us of a bull elephant bathing and drinking in the water hole they overlooked which was fabulous. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed 9 safaris with Oupa and Excellent. Two amazing guides- funny, intelligent, experienced trackers who could find anything from an elusive black rhino, sleeping in the undergrowth to a tiny chameleon in the treetops in the pitch black! Turning corners to scenes you’ve only seen on your TV, to a pride of lions walking past the jeep, rhinos wallowing in the river and a leopard in the tree with her kill and baby hyenas playing by their den says everything! The food at the lodge was fantastic too and the excitement continued every time in terms of where it’s served every day or night, but experiencing it round the fire pit whilst seeing the Milky Way and shooting stars is impressive! Finally we have to mention our wedding anniversary. Returning to candles, rose petals and a bath run for us was very special. However the surprises didn’t stop there with our evening meal planned at the girls lodge, with cake, champagne and singing and dancing from the whole team was beyond our dreams, not least because the whole event was supported by an elephant tromping round in the background. The entire team at Naledi deserve every accolades possible. They work tirelessly to make your experience something that dreams are made of and whilst it’s hard to shout out the front of house and guides, without mentioning everyone in the background- Tk, Lillian, Angel, Oupa and Excellence you are very special to us and we will remember you forever for the incredible experience you gifted us. We will be back and can’t wait to see the exciting things you have planned.…

Wow! It's difficult to even put into words just how amazing our experience at Naledi was. We booked for five nights which I initially thought would be too much but left wishing we had stayed longer. We didn't miss a drive with 10 in total and every single one offered something new. Our guide Opoa and tracker Excellent were incredible. Both were knowledgeable, accommodating and super fun. I can still hear Opoa saying "good morning good morning". You never question that they are both there to make your experience outstanding. And they delivered! Our room was dreamy. We stayed in the Rock Fig for four nights and one in Marula (we added an extra night and Rock Fig was booked). Marula was fine but Rock Fig was fabulous. We loved playing cards on the deck, going for a cooling plunge in the pool and the outdoor shower was so lovely. Coming home at the end of the day to the billowing white drapes around our bed was also a treat. I was lucky enough to have my birthday while at Naledi. Angel, Chef Dudu, Decide and the rest of the beautiful team at Naledi made it so special. From the gorgeous table setting beside the pool, to a version of "happy birthday" I will never forget (Chef Dudu has some serious pipes!), to the flowers and cupcakes...it was by far the most special birthday I have ever had. Our fellow travelers (who became wonderful friends) were very happy I happened to have my birthday while they were there. ;) If you are comparing lodges, look no further. This is the ONE! It is worth every penny and every pound (the food, the food!). Thank you to the most amazing staff and team ever and to Kjell for working with me thru Covid (we originally booked for 2020). Coming from Vancouver Canada is quite a haul and I always thought this would be a one time only trip, but after this experience...we will be back! …

"Wow, amazing" was the chant of our guide Oupa who kept us entertained during our game drives with Excellent tracking for us. Lovely, friendly staff and management, helpful and full of humour. We loved every moment of our stay there. As very experienced safari freaks we found this to be one of the best lodges we have stayed in. We were so happy to get proper food and not the pseudo French cooking so many other lodges are serving these days. We found this to be a genuine lodge, not pretentious and not self important. All our wishes were met including specially prepred local food which we far prefer to European dishes which we can eat in the city. Not a single complaint - we'll be back!

It’s hard to know what to say about Naledi when everything has already been said - and justifiably so! All the superlatives are well deserved. The staff, the accomodation, the catering and the game drives - all fabulous. This team know exactly how to look after people and to make them feel special. Returning from our game drive one evening our decking had been set up for private dining by candlelight - what a lovely surprise - made even more special when we spied an elephant just on the other side of our fence! Special thanks to our guides Vuyani and Sydewell, who were amazing at their jobs, and also to TK and Lillian for their kind and thoughtful hospitality. Oh, and we did see some great wildlife - including the Big 5 and a very rare newborn black rhino!

Look nowhere else! We have just returned from a fantastic and amazing 5 day stay at Naledi. I cannot find enough words to describe how wonderful the Lodge and staff are. Although having stayed there previously Naledi continues to exceeds our expectations every time we visit. From the high quality accommodation, to the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, through to the amazing knowledge and skill of the guides we cannot fault anything. The in-house staff led by TK and assisted by Lillian, catered for our every need in a professional and helpful manner. The food provided was plentiful and to an excellent standard. Our morning and evening drives were unbelievable with some amazing sightings that included the Big 5, all on at least 2 occasions, wild dogs (a rarity given they are an endangered species), hyena, jackal, hippo to name but a few. Our guide, Oupa, was a font of knowledge and our tracker, Excellent, could find a needle in a haystack as he missed nothing. The Naledi family are second to none and we look forward to our next visit 😀. Thank you to Kjell and the team.…

Wow. You can stop looking for a lodge now. Don’t delay, just book it. We had the most amazing 3 night stay in the Rockfig suite. The room is stunning and spacious with a beautiful terrace and cold dip pool. The game drives were just brilliant, Opa and Agilty were our guide and tracker and they went out of their way every day to help us see everything we’d dreamed of. Brilliant guys, very funny too. We saw all of the big 5 and more in the first 24 hours and had some amazing close up encounters with lions, leopards , rhinos, wild dogs, elephants, giraffes, zebras and even spotted a hyena in the dark. The rest of the staff are lovely and look after you so well. They created a beautiful private meal on our last night for my husbands birthday which was so appreciated (and not asked for!). They all seem to really care about creating a great experience for guests but also for the animals and environment too. Well done Naledi, we loved you.…

We visited Naledi earlier this month and had a trip of a lifetime! We were a family of 8 and it was a first time experience staying at a lodge and experiencing a safari. From the moment we arrived till we left, all the staff made us feel like family. Special mention to Oupa and Excellent for giving us the best safari experience! Everyday was a new adventure, the best one being the chase between the leopard and the lion! Thank you Naledi lodges for accommodating all our requests, special thanks to TK, Chef Dudu, Decide at the bar and all the ladies serving us. Food options were decent, but I would suggest having a day menu option to choose from just to make it easy for the guests, as one of the days our lunch got slightly mixed up and we ended up eating only salad. We missed meeting Kjell this time and hope we can make another trip soon!…
