Since I was very little, I have dreamed of going on a safari and Naledi was recommended to me as a great place to both view animals and enjoy a bit of luxury. Over the last week, I have seen things I may never see again. Stars so bright they light up the sky. Colours beyond what seems real. Healthy wild animals in abundance and living freely. The trackers were exceptional. Not only did they provide some fascinating information, but were dedicated to helping us find the animals we wanted to see. Black rhino and wild dogs were a highlight. And they positioned the vehicle with care so that we could all see well but without disturbing the natural behaviour of the animals. After dark, the way that they could spot nocturnal animals was beyond amazing. From my incredibly beautiful room, I could hear lions roar at night and watch the bush peacefully from the deck during the day. The room was kept immaculately with everything I could want. The food was delicious - just the right portions and flavours to die for. The staff were all highly in-tune with all the guests and very perceptively knew what everyone would want to make their stay special. Every mealtime was beautifully set, in different places, and was utterly perfect. I have learned about tracks, bush life and animal behaviours from the bush walks which felt both safe and exciting at the same time. Overall, Naledi helped me live my dream - it couldn't have been better. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone with a passion for nature and wanting to be treated with exceptional service.

My wife and I visited Naledi Game Lodge last month for our honeymoon- it was a fantastic experience! We loved our game drives with our guides Ompa and Excelent, who were very knowledgeable and funny. Chef Dodo’s food was amazing and accommodating for a vegetarian like myself. I would highly recommend the Rock Fig Suite for a treehouse-like experience!

There are many lodges to choose from in this part of South Africa but Naledi Lodge stands out as a shining example of how to get things right. It’s comfortable in the extreme, small, the food is outstanding and the staff relaxed and professional. Vuyani and Sidwell, our guide and tracker were almost psychic in their ability to locate the Big 5 (and many other animals). Game drives and walks were amazing and professionally conducted, but with a sense of humour and a clear love of the bush and conservation. But don’t take my word for it. Just go, and you will see why we are raving about Naledi!

Naledi Lodge is just the place to book if you are looking for a place with attention to detail, super service, being soiled and a fantastic setting. All the rooms are beautiful, the staff friendly and welcoming and the game drives do not disappoint. The guides has a wealth of information to share and makes every drive an experience, not to forget. We cannot recommend this lovely Game Lodge enough! Easily accessible via Hoedspruit airport.

We visited Naledi for a milestone birthday and it really was the most amazing experience (especially my fabulous cake!!!) All of the staff were so kind, the food was delicious and beautiful, and the game drives - WOW! I was able to get some fabulous photos to commemorate the experience. Excellent and Oupa are very, very good - we found their tracking skills and animal knowledge to be just as interesting and impressive as the animals themselves. The intention with this trip was to check the "safari" box on my list of things to see and do - but everything was so wonderful, we are already planning to come back with family members and do it all again. Thank you so much to everyone at Naledi!

This was our second visit to this fantastic place and it definitely didn’t disappoint or do our memories an injustice!! Excellent and Opah are phenomenal trackers, with a great sense of humour to match. We saw all the Big 5 in 3 days. One of the great things about this reserve is that the lodges are small, so your experience isn’t ruined by masses of other jeeps crowding the animals. I am incredibly grateful to TK, Angel and Lillian, they were fantastic with my son, which allowed me to enjoy the drives and mealtimes (a real novelty). Chef Dodo cooked up a storm…I ate so well that you pretty much had to roll me out. This is a truly magical place with some of the nicest people you will ever meet, can’t recommend it highly enough - thank you

We ended up in Naledi (first time safari go-ers) after a suggestion on TA, and are we glad that we did. This place is so special. Excellent and Oppa (I hope I am spelling it correctly) are so talented in guiding and tracking, but also posses the best sense of humor. We were SO close to all the animals, it was amazing. And the general staff at the hotel provided impeccable service with the most gracious attitude (TK, Lilian and the others). And chef Dudu is something of a wonder. Every single meal was innovative and delicious and delivered with character and elegance. And what was also unique is that the meals were served in various settings around the lodge which made it even more special. One of our dinners involved potjiekos which is a South African meat stew (lamb for us) that was cooked on fire in cast iron cauldrons. It was sublime! Balule is a beautiful place and staying at Naledi made the whole experience so rich. Will definitely be recommending this to everyone.

Angel , TK, Hoppa, Excellent. This is the team that will accompany you through the experience. An unforgettable experience. Professionalism in all areas. In-room service and professionalism in the search for animals in the field. Simply fascinating. On three safari days we were privileged to search and see the animals we were expecting. The big five and all their friends. We determined that it must be an annual experience.

What an experience! Words are lacking to describe Naledi... We understood what the word service and welcome mean. We felt like friends and family. All this in a fantastic environment and infrastructure and quite exhaustive (only 4 rooms). Upon arrival immediately, our family of 4, were welcomed by TK and Lilian, always there during our stay to answer all our needs and make from our stay the ultra best!! Oupa, our ranger, tried his best to find all animals, great experience! And then, Chef Dudu, what a smile and energy, everything was just delicious and each plate was a new piece of art. Cross fingers, we'll come back a day!!

This lodge only has 4 rooms and on the dates we stayed there were no other guests booked so we had a private resort experience- extra special treat for our honeymoon. The staff were incredible- attending to our every need and adapting to our preferences. We ate our meals in a different location every meal- sometimes on the roof terrace, sometimes by the pool, sometimes on our private decking and on the last night a romantic meal was set up in our room. The food was delicious and very creative and so plentiful. Breakfast was 3 courses, lunch included dessert and dinner was a fine dining experience. The game drives were marvellous. Our guide and tracker were very knowledgeable and really wanted to make the best of our time there. The drives were scheduled for early morning and late afternoon in to evening but one day the guide came running to our room around 11am urging us to hurry and come out with him as there had been reports of a leopard close by. Sadly we just missed it but only due to our own slowness! We thought it fantastic service for them to take us out on an additional drive to try and complete our big 5! I cannot recommend Naledi enough and only wish there were 6 stars to give! Thank you for making our honeymoon an incredible once in a life time experience!
