The Tintswalo Manor House is the most amazing accommodation on Safari ever! It has five beautiful bedrooms -each with it’s own bathroom. We had our own staff of five people who took care of our every need! Thandi, the house manager was so accommodating and we were treated like royalty. The food was incredible! Sister B (the head chef) is amazing! Each meal was better than the one before and the presentation was so elegant! We saw all of the Big 5 animals on safari and it was great! I definitely recommend this house and I can’t wait to go back there some day!

Making a decision amongst so many Safari options is hard! I know, despite living in Australia, covid aside I have gone to the bushveld as South Africans call it, every year of my 52 years of life! I have been on every kind of Safari imaginable. Walking safari’s, Safari in the Okavango by boat, luxury Safari and many self drive safaris. So I speak from experience and Tintswalo Manour House ticks ALL the boxes! This was our second visit. We went as a family group ten years ago and returned this year again to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday.

The beautiful house sleeps 10. You are provided with a ranger and a tracker. All the food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it despite having various dietary preferences (non negotiable these days in a group of 9 people!). We stayed 3 nights and I strongly suggest you stay no fewer. There are some wonderful meal surprises which would be difficult to fit into the schedule on a shorter stay.

The main reason to go on Safari is of course to spend time in the bush with the wildlife. Once again you can’t go wrong. Every day elephants would wonder down to the water hole, right in front of the house!! There is an abundance of game, big 5 included. I had the most wonderful sighting of a lion cub in a tree! You don’t even have to leave the house to enjoy incredible birds and the sounds of jackals and hyena at night.

Thank you Foster, Israel and all your helpers for 3 nights in total heaven! We loved every second of our stay!!!

From the moment of arrival to the departure, this was nothing but excellence! The people, the special events, the service was all amazing. I can't recommend highly enough and would love to return!! I treated my kids and grandkids (8-14) to 4 nights and it was perfect. Kids had free run of the yard, with pool and lots of play area and didn't have to worry about being quiet. Staff and food absolutely couldn't have been better. Food was adapted to when and what we wanted and was a culinary delight. Couldn't have been cleaner. We were able to sit and watch elephants, birds and other animals at the watering hole across the way. Special, very memorable events orchestrated by the staff.

First, we did NOT stay at the main Tintswalo Safari Lodge property. We stayed at the Lodge's Manor House - which is part of the their operation - but located a five minute drive from the main property. Manor House is a five bedroom rustic but comfortable house that sits off on its own. It has a private plunge pool, a fully-stocked outdoor bar, and grassy yard, all contained within a fenced compound. During the day, elephants and other animals wander past the house just on the other side of the fence (see photo), as you hangout here swimming. The boma (traditional outdoor African barbecue) area is also within the small compound. Staying at Manor House - versus the main lodge - gave us the feel of living in an isolated home out in the African savanna.

We were a large family group of ten, ranging in ages from 18 to 88. We all enjoyed this safari stop, and saw a lot of animals on the morning and afternoon game drives: rhinos, lions, water buffalo, elephants, leopards, giraffes, wild dogs, etc. We were divided into two trucks for each drive, one with guide Eric and one with guide Wik. We were always with Eric, and he was very informative

The staff was friendly and helpful, particularly our guide Eric and our Manor House cook.

A recommended stop.

We stayed at Tintswalo Manor House for five days between15th and 20 th of May 2017.it was like a dream.Elvis the manager and his house staff,Jonathan the chef made it like a Home for us.they made sure that we had the privacy and we're there whenever we needed something..Jonathan's surprises were amazing and needless to say we all put on weight thanks to the amazing food !!!our safaris were equally amazing with our guide Darren and tracker Mpho..Darren an accomplished photographer himself, taught us selflessly whatever he had learnt and in the process we got some amazing pictures.the quiet and cool Mpho is a fantastic tracker and very good company too..the staff made sure we had a clean home and absolutely smashing food to go with it..I would strongly recommend Tintswalo Manor House for small groups/families who prefer the silence and solitiude ..I am going back for sure !

The place is incredible and the service by everybody there esa awesome. Really dedicated staff, who made us feel great.

Nevertheless, we had 2 bad surprises:

- "Recommended" tips were incredibly high and we were not told about them in advance. A bit abusive in my opinion...
- We were also promised to get some pictures from our guide after our safari rides , but we are still waiting for them even though I have asked about the several times. This was promised before we gave our tips by the way

The Tintswalo Manor House, situated in the Manyeleti game reserve can accommodate 10 and is reserved for families or friends, so that you are in a private environment. It has his own cook, butler, ranger and tracker.
The Manor looks great, but needs some renovations inside (painting). The master bedroom at the first floor is very spacious and has a large terrace, overlooking the waterhole, that is constantly refilled with fresh water. Large herds of elephant (once 34) baboons, anthilopes, giraffes and buffaloes are passing by for a drink all day long. The Manor has a boma, so that you can observe the animals from very close by.
The park shares open borders with Sabi Sands and Krüger, so that animals can roam around from one park into another.
The sous-chef Chrisette prepared excellent food.
Andrew, our ranger and Simon our tracker were like walking encyclopedia, knowing each bird, plant and tree and tell stories about them. Every game drive had at least one highlight, and after 5 days we managed to see all of the big 5 and all other animals, except for the wild dogs.
The Manor is a beautiful place to stay, but the 4 rooms on the ground floor were to our opinion too small. They were situated 2 in the right wing and 2 in the left, but needed to share the 2 bathroom. So if you book the manor, be aware of the fact that 4 out of the 5 rooms are rather small.
If renovations have been done, we probably will return, especially for the landscape and the excellent viewings of wildlife.

Most magical stay! Thank you to the Tintswalo team for an unforgettable experience, the staff are one in a million, and their attention to detail does not go un-noticed. Alistair and Wise thank you! Your knowledge and experience made every game drive incredible. The ladies at the manor house that catered to our every need, from decorating our rooms beautifully, to the 5 star meals we were served by Thandi who always had a smile on her face. Hotels around the world do not compare to the hospitality we were shown on our trip! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I was lucky enough to have been invited to Tintswalo The Manor House with family. What an awesome weekend we had. From Alistair and Emily, to all the staff in the house, the amazing food they produce, our bedrooms were so comfy and so beautifully done out and the lodge itself is just wonderful. I would recommend this place to any person that would like a break to get away and just relax. The game drives with Alistair and Wise was just amazing, the amount of game we saw was out of this world. Everybody went out of there way to make us feel so special. I would love to go back again one day.
