Tintswalo Safari Lodge was the last stay of our 2 week Honeymoon in South Africa and I can truly say that our travel agent saved the best for last. This place is magical. From the moment we arrived we were met with impeccable service and it stayed that way right up until we left. I actually became teary eyed when...

This lodge is not as famous as places like Royal Malewane or Singita, but it truly is in the same league. Very luxurious bungalows, with decks and private plunge pools. Warm and efficient service, good food, knowledgeable guides, intimate and friendly atmosphere (elegant but not stuffy or stuck up). One of the few hotels/resorts in the world I would recommend...

I came across this place as somewhere else was booked up, but I was so lucky. I went with no great expectations animals-wise, but saw everything I could think of (maybe apart from a cheetah), including all the big 5, but I wasn't there to tick boxes and the depth of knowledge of Eric the guide and Civilized the tracker...

The meaning of ‘Tintswalo’ in the Shangaan language is ‘peace that you bestow upon someone who has given you a meaningful and worthy gift’. Well, peace and great thanks to all at Tintswalo as our four days were a wonderful experience and worthy choice for our virgin safari experience. We opted for a connection to the lodge via Cessna light...

As a bit of a Safari geek, who has been to lodges throughout Eastern and Southern Africa, I can confidently say that this is one of the best around. The staff were absolutely superb, and the accomodation was simply stunning. The food was also to a very high standard. The game viewing was very good, and the guides did'nt simply...

After many hours researching a lodge for our first safari I happened upon a review about about another lodge nearby on tripadvisor which said try Tintswalo - it looked great. How lucky we were - Natasha in Jo'burg couldn't have been nicer handling the booking online - but the staff and the lodge itself were second to none - and...

Tintswalo was the first stop on our honeymoon & we both wished we were staying there for the entire trip! It was a true 5 star, luxury resort, with the service more than exceeding our expectations. We saw 4 of the big 5 game on our drives, and we really enjoyed our guide, Patrick, and our tracker, Maurice. They both...

The magnificence of the Kruger Park in South Africa and the abundance of "Big 5" game viewing is legendary. The unexpected pleasure of a true 5 star experience in the middle of the bush is also often documented in travel advisories but definitely does need to be experienced to be believed. Tintswalo Safari Lodge has both of these magnificent experiences...
