Londolozi is one of the magnificent places globally that we have had the opportunity to experience. The Granite Camp suites are second to none and Kelly makes no detail how minor is overlooked. It is an exceeding well run private game reserve with beautiful views, knowledgeable guides & trackers and delightful dining. We were sad to leave but will return.

The team are exceptional . They turn the incredible surrounding into an epic experience. Kirste was extremely helpful and knowledgeable as our ranger , Lucky tracked his heart out and Kelly made sure every day was special back at the Lodge and nothing was a problem. Hats off to the Varty family for creating a special place that their team love and they feel like they are part of the family and then make each guest feel the same.

My husband and I enjoyed a 7 night stay at Granite Camp with the added luxury of a private vehicle. Granite is already exclusive with just 3 villas to the camp so the choice of a private vehicle meant this holiday was exclusively our own - celebrating our 2021 milestone birthdays, and a delayed celebration of a milestone anniversary from 2020 (thank you Covid). Having stayed at Granite Camp in 2018, and Varty Camp in 2019, we knew we were in for a special week but as is always the case with Londolozi, there are surprises around every corner and expectations are always exceeded. Led by ranger Patrick and tracker Dorence, we were treated to amazing moments in the bush. Countless leopards (including a still-blue-eyed cub), rhinos having a territorial dispute, plenty of birding including a Secretary Bird (thanks to the unbelievable eyes of Dorence!), lions galore, rhinos having a territorial dispute, elephants, honey badgers (a true highlight), and so much more. We were able to see the partnership of our ranger and tracker team in action time and time again...perhaps the best was Dorence spotting drag marks on a northern boundary road and taking the time to track the leopard into the bush, finding the kill and deciding to come back on the afternoon drive to find the beautiful Piccadilly female and her sub adult cub feeding. To have Dorence and Patrick share a tracking experience from beginning to end with us - explaining the tracks in the road through each step in the decisioning process - was priceless. And we will always remember those huge grins when they tracked the Ntsevu sub adults feeding on the remains of a kill. We enjoyed every moment on the vehicle with Pat and Dorence; and enjoyed the moments off the vehicle as well getting to know them and sharing in their passion of the wildlife. Granite Camp is a special place - 7+ star service at every moment. Camp Manager Angie and Butler Nomsa made walking on to Granite Deck special at every greeting and we looked forward to seeing them daily. Nomsa was always ready with anything we asked for, remembering the smallest details and always ready with a warm smile and laugh - there is a sparkle in her eyes that is truly contagious. Angie knew exactly how to create the private moments we were looking for, reading between the lines and understanding exactly what we needed before we ever asked. Angie was the constant thread across every experience while we were at Londolozi, tying everything together perfectly - quietly in the background making sure everything was up to her level of perfection as a host. We enjoyed her laughter and stories, and enjoyed the private times too. Angie, there aren't enough ways for us to say thank you - you will be missed. Granite Villa 1 is perfect solitude - a plunge pool with waterfall, outdoor shower, covered and sun touched seating. We were treated to elephants daily, and even a male leopard crossing the rocks one morning. All amenities are well thought through - often with gentle reminders of the conservation focus that is Londolozi. Everything you could need is provided and all the things you don't realize you need are there too. We enjoyed the curated books and artwork and the thoughtful touches of decor throughout. The food at Granite Camp is beyond exceptional; breakfast, lunch and dinner never disappoint. So many selections, and each balanced just perfectly. I'm not sure I could call out a favorite food during our stay; each meal was a culinary treat worth savoring in that moment. It was also a joy to connect with people we had met on previous trips. We know the people at Londolozi touch the lives of so many guests day in and day out, so to make us feel like family for the few days we are there each year is the real magic of Londolozi. There is a warmth and genuine heart to the people here which will always bring us back. There are so many people who touched our lives while at Londolozi for our 8 days, not just the people I highlighted here - each deserves all the praise we can give. There isn't a moment we could look back on and wish it were better or different except to say we wish we had stayed longer.

Londolozi calls it a "camp" and they have 5 of them with slightly different twists and varying numbers of "cottages" but Granite Camp is a paradise of comfort, friendliness, family feeling, gourmet food, lavishly decorated and limited to three couples. You cannot begin to describe the standalone suites with comfortable couches, netted beds with superbly soft linens, large shower and tub inside, huge outdoor shower with a massive plunge pool and towering waterfall, plus patio lounge chairs and wild game passing by below us! These "camps", which are normally jammed with Americans like us, are not at capacity because Americans want to travel but are afraid ... we found NOTHING to be afraid of. The only hurtle was getting Delta Air Lines a Covid-Negative test within 72-hours of departure and filling out an Attestation Form for South African Immigration saying we were Covid-Negative. On the way back to the USA, the Camp Manager arranged a Covid test with results delivered by email within a day and only Delta cared about that. This was no different than going to Hawaii, just far friendlier! DON'T BE RELUCTANT because the lodges are filling up fast!

Not saying this lightly, but the PGS camp at Londolozi is probably the best game lodge in South Africa. The service is top notch, the food is unbelievably good, and the wine selection showcases the best South African wines. The room/suite is massive and has all the creature comforts that you could possibly need/want. A massive thanks to the game ranger team of Chris & Euce, who provided fantastic game drives, including an epic rally drive to get us back to the lodge during an unexpected massive storm!

We just left Londolozi where we had not returned since our Honeymoon 21 years. We knew that Londolozi was a special place, as this is where our passion for the Bush had all started. But our (too short) 2-nights stay at Granite Camp was simply out of this world. It was INCREDIBLE. Simply the best we have ever experienced in our 30+ bush experiences over the years. The suites were unbelievable. Stunningly beautiful. Impeccable understated luxury with fantastic in doors and outdoors facilities and majestic views of the Sand river. We visited all the camps with Phil and although the size and facility vary with price points, the spirit of the place runs throughout, yet each with its specific vibe. Bruce and Rob were phenomenal ranger and tracker. The best we ever had. They share a lot of complicity and respect ; and complement each other very well. We have had fantastic drives with them, great fun together and we feel we left friends behind. We also realized driving around the property that the sheer size that you benefit from, allows for great variety which is much appreciated especially for longer stays. Angie, our lodge manager for Granite, could not do enough to delight and surprise us with amazing experiences including bush breakfast and dinner under the stars for Valentine day. The food was absolutely delicious. Healthy, stylish and contemporary. With also a lot of choice which caters for any need. It was absolutely a 2 night stay to be remembered ! Everything was perfect but what we would like to commend you most for is the value and spirit of your team. They are driven, passionate about their job, generous and sociable. Showing much respect and camaraderie with each other and their guests. Overall classy in a chic casual way. Our only regret is that we pitched our stay way too short ! We are definitely back soon. And we will make it a ritual to come and visit Londolozi regularly. As I said to myself as we were leaving : Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened. We will always remember the very unique memories we made in just 48hours in your special place. So thank you and see you soon Londolozi.

Londolozi is the most perfect place of this planet. That might sound hyperbolic but it couldn’t be more true. The world’s best service and luxury meets comfort meets (of course) nature’s greatest wonders. We had never been to South Africa or on safari before so this seemed like the perfect experience for our honeymoon. After four days at Londolozi we realized no other experience will ever compare - except to return many times. The staff, Ben, Robbie, Nichol, and our safari guides Sezant and Andrea, were all world class professionals. They showed us the heart of Africa and ensured we saw every one of the big five including some up close and personal time with a pride of 18 lions. The food was second to none, and the rooms (we stayed at the Private Granite Suites) were just beautiful. As magnificent as any St. Regis or Four Seasons I have ever stayed at. Our fellow guest even commented on the experience dwarfing the Gritti Palace in Venice. The thing about Londolozi is that is pulls on your heart strings. I cried at the site of the amazing wildlife, beautiful landscape, and the little family we built there. And the way Londolozi empowers the local community is inspiring. I left wanting to give back and find ways to contribute to the fantastic work of the Varty family. There is a reason Londolozi is the best in the world. Rarely when you visit a hotel or resort does it look better than the pictures, where in Londolozi’s case, the pictures do it no justice. You have to experience the magic of Londolozi with all of your senses. We are already counting down the days until we can return.

We booked this thinking it was the top of the line of the Londolozi brand in a fantastic reserve. You will be guaranteed luxurious suites, with lovely decorations and an abundance of space. We loved the private pool, outside bathtub, and outside shower. The food was absolutely fantastic with delicious choices and we loved our meal under the stars. Interestingly, this was our one stop out of four that did not seem to acknowledge our honeymoon. The staff seemed nice enough but none of our moments seemed overly personalized or anything. There are three rooms and six guests total, so I would have assumed that we would have felt ‘cared for’ at every moment. Certainly, the service was good but never felt ‘special.’ For example, we asked a favor to borrow a memory card reader from the Camp Manager... and we never heard from him so we had to sort it out. I have a food aversion/intolerance that seemed to never come up, but at our dinner under the stars, Winstance was quietly and thoughtfully one step ahead of me with a dish just for me - that moment was a service highlight for sure. Each of our game drives certainly got us a cool spotting, but we felt like the pace was incredibly slow and we were frequently feeling like we had to cue the tracker when we felt like we were just dilly-dallying at a place. We weren’t convinced the team was keeping us moving quite enough to see all that Sabi Sands has to offer. Overall, it was a visually stunning and absolutely delicious stop, but with game drives being our main focus along with booking a 3-suite stop in the interest of a special lifetime highlight, it fell a little short. We assume every guest will find a lot to enjoy at Londolozi, as we did.

This was our second visit and couldn't imagine how they could top the first, but they did. Veronica made sure our every need was taken care of and surprised us with some very special moments along the way. Londolozi is such a special place - the care that everyone there has for the animals, the earth and for each other - it just sucks you in and makes you never want to leave. We had the VERY BEST tracker and ranger - Freddie and Paul - who made each drive a unique experience. I can't say enough about the people or the place - it is heaven on earth. Can't wait to go back again! Thank you Londolozi!

We stayed at Londolozi for part of our delayed honeymoon and it was totally worth it. Ben primarily took great care of us, assisted by Momsa and Robbie! Ben's attention to detail is beyond anything we have experienced before - he knows when to get involved or to leave you be - it can be a delicate balancing act. He is a perfect host, knows how to delivery a luxury experience and anticipates and consistently meets your needs. Ben and his team's kindness and warmth make you feel like family and so much so that it made it so very hard for us to leave! Ben and his team are just amazing at what they do but also just great human beings! We don't think this level of kindness can be faked! We are so happy to have met them all! Also, a special mention to Monica, who woke us up early, on what for us was a cold morning, with coffee, cookies and a smile - and to make sure we were on time for our morning game drive! By the fun doesn't end there. Our tracker Milton and our ranger Chris and next up for praise!! We don't have enough words to say how amazing they were. It was marvelous to see them working as a team! We saw the big five and almost everything else we didn't even expect to see - a honey badger among them! Their knowledge immerses you in a different mind set on how to approach, treat and respect animals and nature and how they balance one another in harmony. Each game drive is an adventure and Chris and Milton made sure we enjoyed it! Also, they prepared the best ranger coffees ever! (Coffee and Amarula! :) ) If you are considering this as your next destination, please go - you won't be disappointed! We can't wait to go back - it is just whether it is ourselves or more family!

We shall pass on your very kind words to Ben, Nomsa, Robbie, Monica, Milton and Chris. We are truly blessed with some of the most amazing people at Londolozi.
