Stayed there for 3 nights. The welcome was warm and very friendly. Already at Skukuza airport, where they waited for us, helping us finishing the necessary administration (forms to fill in). They handed over a personal drinking bottle from Lion Sands with nice and cold water. The rooms are amazing. Extremely spacious, modern, luxurious, spotless clean, and awesome views from the bedroom, the pool, the living and the terrace. Food is high quality. Everything is done to make you feel home and one of the family. Cellar wines are great to enjoy at dinners. I can mention all the details in which Ivory stands out compared to any lodge I have ever seen but that would take to much text. We had Norman and Sylvester (Sly) as tracker/guide. They are the best. We just had to mention what animals we wanted to see, and they made us see them. Creating amazing bush coffee in the morning and lovely sundowners during the evening game drive. It is likely that you see game walking in the camp (we saw a couple of elephants as we left our suite). Well, if you rate a lodge a 10 for the best you can think of, I can rate Ivory lodge an 11, because it was really more than we could even imagine. I hope to return one day... Thanks to all the staff at Lion Sands, Ivory Lodge.

If you have never been to South Africa, and you are planning to go, Lion Sands is the place to start! It's an all inclusive lodge experience you will haver forget. We were taken care, kept safe, and shown the most amazing love and respect for it's occupants of nature. Our room overlooked the Sabi River. Our room was unforgettable, immaculate, and beautiful. The food is to die for. The impressively planned menus changed everyday and prepared by the most amazing skilled chefs. And the game drives....our guide and tracker were with us every day, twice a day...those experiences were life changing. When we thought what we saw that day could not be topped, we were wrong. Every day brought something new, beautiful, and exciting. We were able to share in their new Heritage holiday. And on our last day, our 'Butler" treated to us private lantern lit dinner by the pool. Lion Sands, we cannot thank you enough for what you have given us. We never felt safer or more cared for. Coming back is not in question, we will return.

This is our 3rd night at Lion Sands Ivory Lodge. Without any reservation, we would recommend this experience to any discerning traveler. The lodge and the rooms look like they should be in a modern architectural magazine. The food is incredible. The service is next level. And the game drives are unmatched. Kudos to the entire staff. This is the lodge to stay at for safari in South Africa.

We had 4 extraordinary days at the Lion Sands Ivory Lodge. Probably the best hotel we have ever been, an amazing spacious room with a magnificent pool facing the river with incredible scenic views. All the commodities that a five star hotel can have, but, because you are in the jungle everything seems even better. Very nice decoration and you can see that a lot of attention was putted in all small details. Olivia is the manager and she made an incredible job selecting and training the most amazing team, that made our stay unforgettable. A special thank you to the Sommelier, Gifford, Our Buttler, Rodnick, The Chef Clerance and her amazing team, The Spa girls Theodora and Tarine, The security Nyiko, Our amazing guide Franna and our tracker Ranios, living encyclopedias of wildlife, all together they made us feel at home. There was only one point for improvement, on our opinion, that is related with the wine list. As we are wine lovers we would love to be able to experience more top world wines to match the amazing food and overall 5 star experience. We strongly recommend visiting this Lodge to have an unforgettable experience.

This was part of our honeymoon. Our entire trip to South Africa was amazing but our stay at lion sands was by far the highlight. It is the most amazing place we have ever stayed. The highlight is their attention to detail and service. Every day was fun. We saw all the big 5 up close but just driving around with these guys is fun. We did the treehouse experience which I enjoyed and would do again but would not recommend to folks that are not comfortable camping.
