I visited Idube in May and decided then I’d be back. Returned in August and I’ll go back again. I’ve been on many safaris in 5 different countries and nothing compares to the experience you’ll have at Sabi Sands. Idube is a fabulous lodge, it’s comfortable and relaxed; understated luxury. The staff is first rate, the food is excellent, I’d love to stay there even without the excellent game drives. How ever long you plan to stay add a day or two or more, you won’t regret it!
What an incredible stay we have just had. Nothing was too difficult and every detail was delivered with aplomb. The front of house management team are a joy and know how to run a lodge; the chef is a wizard and our ranger Mark and tracker Ronald were world class; the sightings were off the chart. All round professionalism delivered with a smile in the ethos of your own lodge home. We will be back.
Everything about this lodge, the amazing service, the location, the accommodations, the attention to every detail is beyond compare! We had the most incredible game drives with excellent, experienced and knowledgeable guides and drivers. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us with our special meal requirements (kosher). We highly recommend Idube,. Overall, it more than met all our expectations and requirements.
We spent 6 nights at Idube and we can't fault anything. We were welcomed and treated like family. The attention to detail., Charitas hosting, Offerings service, Kobies chef skills. Ewads almost telepathic way of fixing things and the guiding from Cedric and tracker Mark exceptional, the wildlife sightings remarkable. I honestly don't have any constructive criticism. We will be returning. Jonathan and Candace.
My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights in Idube after 3 nights in the Kruger Park. First and foremost, the Sabi Sands reserve is without contest the best one for game viewing I have ever been to. I don't think that before it I had seen at least one cat on each and every game drive I have done while being in a game reserve... Then, Idube is a wonderful lodge in this reserve. The quality price ration is astonishing. Although each accommodation is not hidden in the bush (which actually allows to see many animals - we had "only" nyalas, but it's not rare to see cats as well) going through the fences of the lodge, the whole lodge itself is quite secluded and hard to see until you get there. Don't expect safari tents and a feeling of being alone in the bush, but rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. It is also a fairly small loge, with not many rooms/guests, which is always very much appreciated. The staff is just wonderful, from rangers to waiters and managers, they would provide anything you may want and accommodate your need/wishes to the best level possible. Finally, I should put a special mention of the food in the lodge, which was properly mind-blowing in diversity, quality and taste. Congratulations to the Chef!…
