Notten’s Bush Camp is a jewel within the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve in Mpumalanga, which means “the land of the rising sun” in the locally spoken language, Shangaan. Notten’s is an exclusive and private safari lodge personally run by the Notten family. This beautiful, intimate safari lodge is situated within one of South Africa’s finest natural sanctuaries the Sabi Sand Reserve and Greater Kruger National Park. It is a destination that will truly touch your heart and soul. Each private suite is elegantly styled, spacious and cooled by ceiling fans. A magical atmosphere is created with the purposeful absence of electric lighting; the ambient candlelight and lanterns capturing an enchanting spirit of romance. With splendid panoramic views, this private game lodge is the perfect place for peace and relaxation while watching animals meander past.

Notten's Bush Camp's facilities are beautiful. We enjoyed seeing elephants drinking water from our room, the staff were friendly, helpful and the provided us with a surprise 'snack' in the bush around a camp fire the last evening. Our guide helped us find a leopard and although we unfortunately didn't see the wild dogs, we had great sightings with every game drive.

My partner and I visited for 5 nights, and our expectations were exceeded across every dimension. We will definitely be coming back in the future. The staff is world-class, and created a very welcoming, family-like environment. They were very kind, attentative, and personable. The food was also delicious. The head chef did a wonderful job preparing multi-course dishes for each meal. She is extremely creative, displaying an ability to cook a wide array of cuisines and dishes. In addition, she has an excellent eye for detail, as most dishes were plated beautifully. All in all, the food was excellent and we were always satisfied. Finally, the game drives were wonderful. Our driver showed great experience in the bush, able to share his knowledge of the game as well as high

We spent 4 nights at Nottens bush Camp. We flew into Skukuza airport and were met by Thomas our ranger who greeted us with a warm smile and an ice cold drink. The transfer took 45 minutes to the lodge. On arrival at the lodge we were met and greeted with a lovely cold towel and a glass of water. Welcomed and shown to our room within minutes. The lodge has 9 rooms which are spacious, they have air conditioning, two ceiling fans. There is a full bathroom and an outside shower. Each room has a lovely verandah. Their is a small hairdryer in the room however no mirror in the room or near a plug to connect too. Perhaps they could look at this. The room is very comfortable and well appointed. The main lodge area is very comfortable with a lounge area, comfortable seating arrangements

My daughter and I went up for two nights. We thought ot may be too short but had a small gap and did it. Wow it was superb. The staff are excellent and this camps hits the spot in terms of balance of luxury bush and respecting the wild. The rangers are excellent. Our vehicle ranger/tracker Moses and Keenan were superb and Tiniqo on foot was superb. Joe’s sounds of the wild at a Boma is a must see. The place has a family feel and whilst in the last few years 6 star luxury has sprung up all around it - I truly think this camp will be a favorites for many in years to come. Spend a few nights there - you wont be sorry !!

It was like stepping onto another planet. Covid was no where in sight. Stunning setting. Staff and owners and guests all really friendly and welcoming with a bottle of bubbles waiting for us as we were celebrating our 50th Anniversary. Incredible food and drinks. All included. Game drives by Moses was informative and fun although not many animals around. Did see lions, leopard and baby, elephants and rhinos. I would suggest August/Sept a better time to see game. The rooms are beautiful but would suggest having a mirror near hair dryer. Flew from Cape Town which took up most part of the day travelling.

Where do start, I loved every aspect of our stay here. The rooms are very nice, better then the pictures on the website. The food, accommodation and service are impeccable! The most special thing about Nottens is unquestionably the staff they are genuinely the warmest, most helpful and friendly people I have had at any lodge I have stayed at. It’s not put on it’s genuine and after two days we felt like family. Jan and her team are unreal the food is just too awesome they accommodated all our dietary needs, I was never without a drink in hand. The game drives were awesome we saw the big five with some incredible sightings and our ranger Tinyeko went out of his way to get us great sightings. If I have one complaints it’s the chairs at the pool, they are very uncomfortable. Other
