Selati Camp epitomises a classically vintage experience. Seven beautifully appointed suites, including the LM Honeymoon Suite and Ivory Presidential Suite, are filled with authentic antiques and vintage décor. Featuring two exquisite decks with endless views of the open plains, Selati Camp offers intimacy with a dash of nostalgic opulence. Armchairs around the sparkling pool or on the covered wooden viewing decks are a perfect perch from which to watch game drinking at the nearby waterhole while nights are illuminated by the gentle glow of lanterns and dinners are enjoyed in the outdoor boma under the African sky.

From start to finish, staying at Selati was an absolute pleasure !!!

The Management and Staff could not do enough for us during our stay. Very personable as well as thoughtful. Loved the Honeymoon Suite, and all the romantic personal touches, including the red rose pettals strewn on the bed, throughout the internal bathroom and in bath plus candles....

Refreshingly knowledgeable and professional Ranger [James] and Tracker [Foster] - these men genuinely care about the welfare and preservation of the wild animals, and are very special eco-tourism ambassadors. Saw everything [and more] we were hoping to see, except cheetahs: apparently these are more prolific further North.

An outstanding personable, dedicated and professional Team.
Superb food and service.
Beautifully kept grounds, spotlessly clean pool and great view straight out to the waterhole - with elephants, Rhino and various buck species visiting throughout the day.

We rate this Game Lodge as 10/10. Well done everyone and thank you.

From the moment we arrived till the moment we left we were treated to an exceptional experience. The location of Selati lends itself fantastic game viewing, the real reason for visiting.
Conraad our ranger and Donald out tracker were exceptional, the relationship between the two of them and their knowledge were amazing and enlightening.
The Chef presented the daily options, he was great and the options made it hard to choose what to eat. Every dish was superbly prepared and delicious. The staff that attended to us at all our meals, including the lady that was a rotating staff member couldn't have been more friendly and eager to provide everything we asked for
My wife said the experience at the Spa at Bush Camp was one of the best she's had
We were also fortunate to share the vehicle with another couple with whom we go on so well, was just the cream on top of the amazing game drives
The Camp management, Kyle and Rebecca were always around made sure everything was in tip top shape and our every need taken care of. I wanted to work overlooking the waterhole and asked Rebecca if there was a power outlet, there was not, next thing an extension cord was run and I was in business, amazing service. Was hard to work with all the animals that came to the waterhole
I gave the value 4 stars only because it is a pretty expense vacation but it's worth every penny
A truly magical experience

I’ve had the privilege of visiting various 5* safari lodges during my career as a private photographic guide, but the lodge I am always excited to return to is Sabi Sabi’s Selati Camp. So, when it came time to choose a honeymoon destination, Selati was an easy choice.

My wife and I were recently treated to what could only be described as world class service and hospitality, and of course, phenomenal game viewing! Camp Manager Maryke and her team of staff including Gift, Lucy, Lindiwe, Dankie and Sandile all went out of their way to ensure that we had an incredible experience, and that we did.

The food was excellent, and the team ensured we ate at a different location for each meal, including the most exquisitely romantic candle and lantern-lit private dinners at night. The team went above and beyond to make our honeymoon stay extra special.

Ronny and Mike were our ranger and tracker pairing, and their relationship (or rather friendship) is something special to witness! Their ability to read and interpret the bush is second to none, all of which resulted in an astounding number of track & finds, affording us unique viewings and opportunities to photograph hunting lions, multiple leopards and a whole bunch more!

In two words, SIMPLY PHENOMENAL!!

My husband and I finally had the pleasure of visiting Sabi Sabi Selati Camp last week, after having to postpone for two years due to Covid restrictions. This was a trip we had dreamed of for many years, and we knew we would likely have a fantastic time, but our experience at Selati far exceeded every expectation we could have had. Selati Camp and the lovely team of people who work within are absolutely exceptional. Our guide, Greg, and our tracker, Donald, provided us with game drive experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. They are very good at what they do, and we managed to not only see the Big 5 more than one time during our overall stay, but there was even one special evening where we got to see the Big 5 all in one game drive! On our final morning before departing, we had time for one last game drive. Greg and Donald quickly started tracking male lion prints in the area, and thanks to their skill and determination, we were able to catch up with them and spend our last bit of time on safari sitting just a few feet away from two male lions as they groomed each other, played, and stalked some nearby cape buffalo. It was an amazing way to end things. Aside from the incredible game drives, our stay at Selati was even more meaningful thanks to team members like Dankie, Lindiwe, Enrike, Louise, and Chef Dick. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying ourselves, and the meals provided by Chef Dick were some of the best we've ever had. The property itself is lovely, comfortably situated amongst the bush. We even had an elephant stop by on more than one occasion, as well as monkeys and various other animals which only adds to the safari charm. Through Sabi Sabi, we also had the opportunity to take a day-trip into the local community village. I would highly recommend this. It was highly informative, and the cost for the trip goes back into the wonderful program Sabi Sabi created to provide support for the local people and communities in the area, some of whom work at the various Sabi Sabi camps. Overall, our time at Sabi Sabi Selati Camp was absolutely exceptional, and we can't wait to return someday!

We have stayed at many other bush lodges in the past and our experience of the level of service and hospitality provided by the staff and the facilities at Sabi Sabi Selati Camp was exceptional. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and all of our needs were taken care off beyond our expectation during our stay. The staff was always very friendly and it was easy to engage with them. Our suite was very comfortable and beautifully decorated and the outdoor shower surrounded by the bush was very special. The game viewing was an amazing experience and we saw amongst others, the big five close-up during the game drives. We will always remember the male leopard sighting on our last game drive. This leopard drank water early in the morning at the waterhole in front of Selati Camp and our ranger and tracker followed his tracks until they found him and we followed the leopard through the bush for almost two hours in the game viewing vehicle. We had a great time at Selati Camp.

It has been three months since I had the pleasure of staying at Selati Camp. I am still excitedly showing off pictures and videos from my time there to family and friends. All the superlatives ascribed to the African bush are true. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. Seeing the animals in their natural environment is a truly stunning experience. If anything it is even more of an ultra-saturated technicolor feast for the senses than the nature documentaries let on. There is a reason why people who go on safari can’t wait to do it again.

The camp itself is very atmospheric. Pathways are lit with oil lamps at night. The suites are filled with 19th and early 20th century antiques. And meals are served al fresco. Yet modern conveniences such as AC and wireless access have not been neglected. As a solo traveler I also appreciated that Sabi Sabi did not charge a single supplement, Though what really impressed me was the exceptional service. From my first communications with Tebogo (months before my arrival) to ranger Jaco driving me to the airport for my departing flight every detail was attended to with great care. He and tracker Donald were great company during the game drives. I would like to give a shout out to Graham, Louise, Greg, Gift, and Ronald as well. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

Sabi Sabi Selati safari camp was absolutely the most amazing experience we have ever had. From the minute we arrived we felt like we had entered a magical place. It's small size and location creates an intimacy with the area and allows you to fully enjoy it all. The lodges are straight out of the early 1900's, Out of Africa, but so luxurious. The beds so comfortable, the outdoor showers amazing, the decks overlooking the water hole so you can watch wildlife right from your room. The pool and eating and lounging areas are also outdoors and overlooking the water hole. The staff, food and service was the some of the finest we have ever had. The guides and trackers are also some of the finest in the area, Their communication with each other and ability to find the animals and knowledge was incredible. We saw more wildlife and learned so much about the area than we ever dreamed possible. We cannot wait to return as we cannot say enough about how wonderful this place and our 4 days here were.

We stayed for two nights and it was fabulous. When we arrived, there was an elephant who walked through the camp and drank by the pool as we were eating lunch - an incredible welcome! The ranger Ronald, and tracker Mike were great at spotting amazing game for us. The food was delicious, however the portions were on the large side. We asked for half-portions the second night for dinner, and it was the perfect amount of food. Overall, a wonderful stay, with great service and beautiful rooms. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I and another couple stayed at Selati for 3 nights before we boarded a South Africa cruise. I must say it was beyond our expectations from the lovely greetings when we arrived, the spectacular cabins and the outstanding meals. A special thank you to our guide Kevin and our tracker Sidney for showing us many different animals and bird and plant species. We learned so much. Our chef Gift surprised us with such a variety of meals served very old fashioned safari style outside by lanterns. To all the staff, thank you for making this trip something we will never forget!

We came with family to celebrate two milestone birthdays and our experience was nothing short of amazing. While staying here you can tell that Rebecca and Kyle, the managers of this camp, treat everyone as family. Our hostess Lucy was so attentive and looked after us so well. The camp's chef, Gift went out of her way to accommodate our dietary restrictions and make exceptional meals, ensuring we never went hungry. We were also surprised one morning with a breakfast in the bush which was truly amazing.

With the expertise of our guide (Trevor) and tracker (Solomon) and some luck, game viewing was exceptional and not only did we see all of the Big 5, they were very active and we were able to see them do some very rare and unique things.

We booked the LM suite which was beautifully appointed with a view of the nearby watering hole where we could see animals visit during the day. The grounds of the camp are clean and very well kept.

If you're thinking about whether to stay here or not, don't think any more and just book your stay. You will have no regrets and only a lifetime of memories!
