Everything was perfect and beyond our expectations. We stayed in 2 rooms at the Founder's Camp with our children (20, 18, 17) for 5 days and 4 nights . The accommodations were outstanding and perfect for our stay. The rooms are luxuriously appointed and have outdoor areas that are a wonderful place to spend your downtime after safari . The staff greeted us upon arrival and truly looked after us from the moment we arrived. Rob and Hannah were wonderful camp hosts and made sure everything was perfect. Our safari guide (Jess) and tracker (Advice) were so personable, knowledgeable, and friendly on each of our drives. They answered all of our questions and were so helpful in providing insight into the animals' behaviors and habitat. We truly felt like we had the best staff at our service. The food selection and quality is outstanding as well - breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eating on the patio overlooking the Sabi River is quite a relaxing and enjoyable experience. During our stay, we saw the magnificent 7 (rhino, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, wild dog, and cheetah) and over 30+ different animal species in total (my daughter kept track). Almost all were up close and personal encounters. We have only the best of compliments to give to the staff at Londolozi. They are truly focused on making sure your experience is the best possible and they delivered. The memories that we have of Londolozi will be cherished forever. We are so fortunate to have been able to experience Londolozi. At the end of our stay, we truly felt that we were leaving family. On a side note, I purchased the book The Full Circle by Dave Varty at the gift shop on site and would highly recommend it to anyone who has visited Londolozi or is interested in South African safari history. It added perspective to the incredible place that is Londolozi and the journey that the Varty family took to make it a reality.

We were so disappointed when our trip to Londolosi was cancelled due to Covid in 2020. Well it was worth the wait!! We stayed in the Tree Camp and had our needs attended to at every turn - from the welcome when our plane arrived to the farewell, everything was absolutely perfect! Kelly, who oversaw the camp and Kyle our game driver are delightful people, full of fun and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I had a birthday while there. They organized a surprise bush dinner just for us that was absolutely magical . As long as I live I will never forget turning 64!! Thank you team for making our visit so memorable. Can't wait to return!!

I was lucky enough to visit Londolozi with family for a week over Christmas 2023. It is difficult to put into words just how special this place is. I stayed in Pioneer Camp which truly exceeded any expectations I had… incredible. The South African wildlife is just magical, I can’t put it into words. You must experience it for yourself. Beautiful, a treat for the soul. The staff are some of the warmest, most lovely people I’ve ever met. Each of them have a genuine passion for what they do and this is special to witness. Founts of knowledge. So impressive. On behalf of my whole family I can honestly say that these people are one of a kind. I’d like to thank all of the staff immensely for going above and beyond. Two men in particular, Ross and Robbie. They were our guides for the trips but felt more like family by the end. Ross acted as a brother to me in a particularly difficult time when I was experiencing heart complications. Thanks a million for everything mate! Londolozi is one magical place and I feel so blessed to have experienced it, twice! Long live Londolozi and all of the remaining wild places in this world.

It's rare when a place actually lives up to the hype. Londolozi doesn't just live up to the hype, it far surpasses it. We (a gay couple) had the most wonderful 3 night stay at Londolozi. We had a hard time deciding how many nights we should stay before going and in the end were happy with our 3 night stay. We left wanting more, but didn't feel as though we had missed out on the experience. That said, I'd suggest 3 is the minimum you should do. Next time I expect we will stay 4. We had the most engaging, warm and open ranger and guide in Nick and Joy. They were a great team and showed us more than I could have ever imagined seeing. Yes, we saw the big 5 and had the most incredible visit with a pride of lions but we also spent time with so many more amazing birds, a few snakes and got the cutest video of an amazing dung beetle. The cocktails on the evening drives were always a spectacular way to end the evening. Back in Varty camp we were so well taken care of by the full team. A special thank you to Dom for sharing some of his favourite wine with us on our last night. Our room was beautiful and a luxurious place to spend afternoons and nights. The moment a small herd of elephants walked by while I was in the outdoor shower is something I'll never forget. I'm actually struggling to express how amazing our experience was. I never would have anticipated that I would come away wanting to go back again so soon. I typically like to always experience something new, but we are already taking about our return trip (although not until 2027).

Our stay at the Londolozi Varty Camp in October 2023 was perfect in every way! From the moment we arrived at the Skukuza airport to our departure, no detail was overlooked and executed to perfection. The staff, hospitality, atmosphere, accommodations, wine and food were five stars. And the game drives….. What a wonderful and memorable experience! Lead by a very professional guide and tracker who provided opportunities to see no less than four of the five “Big 5” and countless other animals on every game drive. This while often becoming part of their natural habitat through their efforts to get us close to the wildlife which can only be accomplished through an off road experience. Just the right amount of down time was provided on each day’s itinerary to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings and spa at Londolozi. We also had the opportunity to tour the camp where over 200 dedicated Londolozi staff members live to make this such an amazing place. The tour also provided insights on the commitment of Londolozi to offer continuing education for all staff in an eco friendly and self sustainable environment. Londolozi is without a doubt worthy of its reputation as the most prestigious game reserve in South Africa and the highlight of our 20 day visit to a beautiful country. We truly look forward to becoming one of the many return visitors at Londolozi.

Where to even begin! My husband and I had the most spectacular adventure and stay at Londolozi. We were fortunate not only to stay in the gorgeous and secluded Private Granite Suites, but to be treated to the most impeccable hospitality, facilitated by Harleigh. Harleigh treated us with such warmth and care, we truly felt like we were instantly right at home and family. And Mendrew too brought such kindness and care, each time we stepped into the common area. It is honestly hard to put into words the specialness of our time. Just 4 nights and yet we feel like we are forever connected to this extraordinary place and the people who make it so. Our Ranger, Kyle, and Tracker, Professor (“Prof”), are second to none when it comes to seeing all that a safari adventure could possibly offer. Big 5, yes. Big 5 on one single morning game drive? Well, omg, wow and yes, believe it or not that actually happened. Birth of an elephant? Yes. A kill by a leopard….on the way to the airport? Yes. A pile of lion cubs….revealed in the tall grass as we pulled up to the lions and lionesses? Yes. There were countless memorable moments and all because of the staggering expertise of this Ranger-Tracker duo and their ability to understand the tracks, anticipate the animals’ movements, and communicate with their fellow Ranger-Tracker mates. What I also valued so much was not just observing the animals’ behaviors but hearing from Kyle and Prof what the behaviors mean. I learned so much from both of them! Back at camp, the dining and relaxing main area, food, spa, amenities, everything was 5-star plus. It was so much fun spending time chilling out over a glass of wine before dinner and chatting with Harleigh, Kyle, Mendrew and others staying at our camp. It was such a relaxed and friendly vibe. I miss it already! While each and every part of our experience was so special, perhaps the one that stood out the most was coming back from our final game drive - which happened to be on my birthday. As we pulled into camp the Londolozi Choir had gathered to sing me the most beautiful happy birthday and ‘be happy’ songs. I was overcome with emotion. It was truly the most memorable birthday ever and one I will cherish for a lifetime. Thank you, Harleigh, Kyle, Prof, Mendrew, Will, Londolozi Choir, and every single person who made our stay and Safari adventures so magical. We are so grateful and cannot wait to return ❤️

My husband & I had read Tripadvisor reviews when considering Londolozi. I must admit that I was cynical- how can one establishment have this many 5 star reviews? Having spent 4 nights with them, I have to say I agree with all of these 5-star reviews. What Londolozi say they can do on their website- they actually do. The reviewers here are all correct. It is really that extraordinary. I would recommend reading Londolozi's blog to get a feel of what their game drives are like. Healing House treatments are really worth checking out. My husband recommends their photography studio. We both recommend Back of the House tour. Take plenty of photo storage platforms! Wifi is excellent but carefully crafted to be only available in specific areas. They are well equipped to handle South Africa's frequent load sheddings. Rooms were immaculately maintained. Their laundry service was excellent- you really don't have to pack much. They even had electric adapters in the room. We stayed at Varty Camp. It has a unique energy about it. Topped us up for our life back home! Dom, Andrea, Bryce, and Sam- our camp managers were authentic, attentive, efficient, and had this can-do attitude that runs through the soul of everyone at Londolozi. They made our stay extraordinarily special in so many ways. Will, one of the Operations Managers was kind, personable, warm, and generous with his time and energy. Dzuni, our Butler knew us so well and looked after us like family. The chefs were incredible! Sam & Christina from Healing House were gems. The Ranger-Tracker teams are Londolozi's incredible assets. Matt was our Ranger; Terence our Tracker. Everyone privileged enough to be with them said we weren't sure what was more exciting- leopards or Matt's driving! It was incredible to watch how they read Nature, and helped us understand. You will see the animals from a very different perspective. That, in many ways, is Londolozi's gift to us. It is nothing short of magical.

Our family had been to Londolozi on a few occasions prior to the pandemic and we recently spent an incredible few days together back at this phenomenal resort. ( family of 10 spent 5 nights and my wife and I stayed on another 4 nights ) Given our previous visits it was hard to see Londolozi getting any better from prior to the pandemic, as we are only visiting now again for the first time since Covid , but in our opinion, they have got incrementally better . This is not easy as the standard was very high before. The food was definitely better . ( not that it was bad before ) More choices was the name of the game . We were always offered so many options that more than covered the age differences of our family ( 10 - 63 years ) I requested a “ stew” or Pooitjie each night as an additional option and every stew was cooked slowly to perfection. Congratulations to the kitchen staff and particular thanks to Mandla and Virginia in Pioneer Camp where our family spent all our time . As Pioneer camp could not accommodate all of us , my wife and I spent nights also at Varty and Tree Camp . Our WiFi was also very good and much improved on our last visit . You just connect to the Room number that you are in and you are instantly on . No fuss . Quality was excellent for so deep in the bush . Our family had also asked for a few special fun things to do and the staff went beyond the call of duty to assist us . The soccer game , fishing expedition, bush walk , morning sunrise 🌄 on the mountain with dancing and our “ SURVIVOR “ family challenge were so well organized. Huge thanks here to Jordan our camp manager at Pioneer and our “ Old Ranger Team “ of James and Sean . Our family game drives were incredibly special and we saw absolutely everything. The Big 5 regularly and cheetah , wild dog and pangolin to boot . Incredible excitement as we joined the Wild Dogs and Cheetah hunting and witnessed phenomenal sights . How can you ask for more . Congratulations to our Trackers Gesholm and Elvet who also showed us their dancing skills on the mountain. There are too many names to mention overall at Londolozi but a special shout out to Trevor , our incredible smiling Butler at Pioneer . Also to Ashleigh ( Pofie) who ran around my wife and I at Tree Camp at the end of our stay . Additional help from Phil and Will also made it a perfect visit .( My grand children voted the pizza from Phil the best they ever had ) Congratulations to you and your team Duncan . If there is another Lodge out there that is better than Londi’s , then I have not found it yet . It’s certainly an unforgettable memory for all the family in a relatively short space of time . Whilst it’s a premium price at Londi’s , in our view you get incredible value every second of every day . We can highly recommend this resort to anyone , anywhere in the world . You will not be disappointed. We will be back soon . Thanks to all at Londolozi for our special time together as a family .
