My wife and I went to the Sun Island Boutique Villas & Spa for our honeymoon for a week and we loved it.
We had a villa with a private pool. The room was cleaned every day, and the staff often saw us during the day and asked if there was a convenient time for it to be cleaned. The room itself is great, very nice and comfortable. Great aircon which is lovely to come back to after a trip out, and the private pool is colder than the shared pool so it was extra nice after a hot day outside. The room facilities are great and well kept and I have nothing bad to say.
The restaurant had amazing food and drinks and the service was always quick and friendly. All staff always greeted you with a warm smile and were very helpful.
The location was convenient as there are many popular restaurants and shopping areas within a 5 minute taxi/20 minute walk. The road it’s on also has lots of markets, ATMs and it’s own restaurants to walk to for short trips out.
If we come to Bali again, we will stay here again without a doubt. Loved it.

This place is idyllic in so many ways. While it is located in a bustling area with lots of shops and restaurants around, inside the resort it is super peaceful and tranquil, the staff are really helpful and friendly, but best of all you get the luxury of a private villa with pool plus facilities of a normal resort such as a main swimming pool and restaurant and spa. I have stayed in other villas which are realy nice but they haven't had the main resort pool or restaurant so you tend to not meet anyone, whereas here you still meet other people but can escape to your own villa when you wish. The price is not much more than some of the beachfront hotels of much lower quality too. I would definitely recommend staying here and getting spoilt rather than paying the same for a 3-star hotel on the beach. Loved it.

Lovely villa with great service. A special mention to Budi and the front of house staff who always greeted us by name and remembered our preferences.
The villa was clean but contained basic toiletries, sadly no body lotion which proved to be invaluable, as the water was quite harsh and made my skin dry.
A word of warning, watch out for the overarching trees, there are no signs warning that the branches are low and at night the trees are not illuminated with fairy lights. I hit my head without noticing (I am only 1.6m tall) and my partner was looking down on his phone one day when he walked into a low branch which caused him to fall down and hurt his head quite badly.
The breakfast selectionT was also mediocre, it is a la carte with only 4 options (from memory) and no buffet. On the plus side, the staff were always ready to customise the dishes based on dietary preferences and remember our order from earlier morning. On the plus side - the coffee was amazing! Must try even if not having breakfast.
The location is perfect, the villa is surrounded by great cafes and is walking distance to Bintang supermarket and a proper gym. Great value for money and perfectly suited for romantic getaways, would not recommend for families, due to very basic pool and lack of facilities for kids.

This is our 3rd time here. It is great to have a peaceful hideaway from the bustle outside in the streets. The staff are great, the rooms are kept spotlessly clean and the afternoon tea at the pool is a nice little bonus. The rooms are huge and fully equipped with kitchen and a water cooler so you have drinkable water all of the time without having to get bottled water constantly. Although everything is fantastic it is now starting to show some signs of wear but nothing terribly bad. I am a travel consultant so tend to be a bit of a hotel snob only because we do get to see the best and worst and get a bit spoiled at times so expectations are quite high

Don't be put off by the entry and reception areas which are very unwelcoming and drab. Inside, the villas and common pool/cafe areas are very spacious, clean and beautifully appointed with solid elegant timber furniture, thoughtfully laid out and surrounded by verdant tropical gardens. The whole effect is a quiet, relaxing escape from the chaos of Seminyak's busiest shopping streets. The spa no longer operates and the included breakfast is uninspiring although the service in the cafe is pleasant and effective.

We recently had a fantastic stay ay Sun Island Boutique Villas. We had an amazing studio with our own pool which was beautifully appointed.
We could not have asked for more from the staff. All members were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The breakfasts were amazing and afternoon tea a bonus.
The Villas are in a great position with a road down to the beach just a few doors down. There is a terrific Massage studio called Christines just down this road.
We would highly reccomend Sun Island Boutique Villas to anyone visiting Bali and will definately stay there again when visiting.

Staff lovely, place is great location Our room was lovely. Nice in private very quiet. Apart from the every evening of fireworks that was a little bit annoying. Staff are beautiful they’re so friendly. They are eager to help considering one of them travels over an hour to get to hear. Always polite, always smiling which is lovely. So now to the not say pleasant things, the spa doesn’t work. Don’t know when they’re going to have it going our room. Cleanliness is okay. The shower hasn’t been done since we’ve been here, needs to be addressed everything else seems to be alright. There are no utensils in the kitchenette or in the fridge if you need to make something apart from the kettle and dried coffee. The maintenance on the property needs to be looked at some of the lights don’t work specially when you come home at night so that’s a little bit dangerous other than that. Have fun.

My Husband and I travelled to Bali (Nusa Dua) for our Honeymoon some 25 years ago and we did not enjoy the place in general. After so many of our friends and family have visited over the years and raved about Bali we somewhat reluctantly returned for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. WOW so many changes! We have just had the MOST amazing week staying at Sun Island Villas in Seminyak. Such wonderfully attentive staff whom are willing to help whenever and wherever possible. Our Villa was clean, spacious and the plunge pool refreshing. Villa flooring was slightly cracked and worn but the facilities (shower, separate toilet and BATH) were all perfect size. King bed was extremely comfortable and loved the early evening turn down service. Food was ok, lacked a bit a flavour but didn't matter too much to us as there is an abundance of cafes, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. The pool facilities and surrounding gardens are prefect! We loved our home for the week - so much so that we have returned to Melbourne yesterday and are already planning to return before the end of 2020.

So happy we found this place it’s so central to everything we literally walked around to all beautiful restaurants. Shopping strips such as Garlic Lane were all in walking distance also. We found this Villa to be very safe and although you are on a main street it’s tucked in a little bit and you can hardly hear any traffic. The staff would greet you when exiting and greet you upon your return.

Probably one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at. The location is great with plenty of shopping and supermarkets at your doorstep and close enough to Kuta but without the hussle and bussle. Having our own plunge pool was heaven and was perfect to cool down in the privacy of our villa. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating and made us feel extra special. We will be back!!
