A beautiful hide-away spot on the Wellington Hills. The hosts are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious and the air-conditioner works all the time. This place is well equipped to deal with load shedding and the WiFi works throughout. The dining area is amazing, spacious, you can host a conference, there is a projector. The breakfast, m mm M! The artworks are to take home. We will be back in 2024.

Recently attended a second event at Monte Video Guest House and would like to commend the owner and staff for the seamless presentation of the event, great food, excellent service from the staff, and clean facilities. We had the pleasure of enjoying champagne and canapes on the patio overlooking the view before being seated.

We stayed at Monte Video for 2 weeks and were the only guests over the December holidays. It was absolutely superb and ideal because it was basically to sleep, as we have family in Wellington and Paarl,. but also entertained them at the guest house. Staff members were professional (Jackie, Colleen, and another staff member whose name I did not get), and Jackie went the extra mile with the breakfast. The owners were polite and friendly and we even bought a painting from the owner (Dalene Buckle), who is an artist. I recommend this guest house and will stay there again.

The guest house is neat and well maintained, the room had air con and was pleasantly furnished. The view from the pool area over the valley is beautiful, especially to watch the sun set. Just don’t get booked into room number 2! Set next to the kitchen/ function area and the owners living space, there is no privacy. It can also get very noisy when the owner entertains his guests in the guesthouse dining area (next to your room) until 11:30 at night.

It was my Dad's 89th birthday and I was wanting to spoil my folks with a night at a country guest house. Firstly I imagined it to be more out of town and not in a built up area just on the outskirts of Wellington. I also needed a room with a walk in shower for my Mom and after seeing the photos of the place was worried about the numerous amount of steps. I explained my dilemma on three occassions and was assured it was suitable for my parents needs. The room was not wheel chair friendly as discussed and to get to the breakfast room we had to either climb numerous steps, walk up a paved pathway which was extremely steep or drive the car up the owners driveway and then walk througb the owners house to reach the diningroom. This upset me as it put a damper on our stay. To top it all the tiles leading to the room were porcelain and once wet became slippery. My Mom nearly fell when her walking stick slipped on the tiles and my Dad had a terrible fall trying to help her into the room. Designing a guesthouse takes a lot of thought especially when you are catering for a wide selection of the population. Rather refuse the booking than have a unhappy guest.…

What a lovely place. Our room could not be faulted - very clean, king-size bed with crisp, clean bedding, tea & coffee facility with rusks provided, excellent WiFi, outside seating area overlooking Wellington and the mountains behind leading to Bainskloof Pass. The room was adorned with super artwork painted by the owner, Dalene. We had an excellent nights sleep due to the absence of any noise. The breakfast was very good. Dalene couldn’t do enough for us and was very friendly and accommodating. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience.
