Booked one night as we were attending a wedding on the premises. Weddings seem to be their specialty and it was very well organized. Lovely wedding chapel and the food (Canapés and dinner) was very good and plentiful. Large garden, good for walks. Our little cottage was clean, with a lot of charm and attention to detail. (very “shabby chic”). Lots of mosquitoes and unfortunately only discovered the repellent the next morning. Our cottage consisted of a living room and en-suite bedroom, tiny kitchen next door and also a separate huge bathroom next door. All buildings connected under a cover. Good breakfast and okay for one night.

Beautiful tea room with stunning views. Our family went for a hike and it was such a great way to spend an afternoon. There is a jungle gym, very family friendly. Hidden gem in the country side. It is also a wedding venue and has accommodation which looks lovely.

Overnight stay was a total nightmare, the aircon was not working and it was freezing that night. Trickle of water but no hot water to shower, hardly enough water to wash your hands. The room was dirty. When we phoned we were rudely told that it was our own fault for not complaining 12 o' clock at night with the pathways that you can hardly walk on due to loose bricks and uneven surfaces with bad or no lighting at all. When we told the person we complained to about the bathroom light that was on the whole night, we were told that the switch is outside somewhere, no notice in the room as to where this light switch is located. The person was so rude and offence and we were told that we are emotional about our appalling experience. I will definitely not recommend anyone to stay over at Langkloof Roses.

Rooms are not at all like the ones on their website. The bathroom was filthy - full of spiders and worms. It was clearly not cleaned before we arrived! The breakfast was terrible. The whole place is in need of maintenance and is sadly rundown in such a beautiful setting. The staff was unfriendly and quite rude.

Going away with the boys to spots where there is no wi-fi or TV proved to be not such a catastrophy as they agonisingly predicted it would be 😉
Langkloof Roses makes you feel like time stands still. The silence on the farm feels akward at the beginning, until your body gets accustomed to it and you start relaxing and feeling the peace that seems to be present everywhere.
What to do when staying there? You sit staring at the gorgeous surrounds, you go for lazy strolls on the farm, you read your book, play board games with the kids and you chill in their beautiful Tea Room with delicious chocolate cake.
If you are looking for a stay over to get in touch with nature and re-connect with loved ones then this is highly recommended! Pure bliss!

We had our wedding at Langkloof Roses in December 2017, the farm looks amazing, the food was 7 stars nothing left over. The horses on the farm are friendly and they walk all over. The tea room looks great and you would love the vibe there.

Three girlfriends - check
Endless chatter - definitely
A rose garden - priceless
Imagine going away for a one-night sleepover - just you and your girlfriends with tapas and wine.
Imagine a majestic mountain range standing guard and the scent of various roses filling your senses.
Imagine in our fast-paced world you happen to stumble upon a best-kept secret of a farm where time moves at a glacial pace!
Imagine returning home feeling revived, relaxed and completely and utterly centred, which was exactly what we needed.

The rooms were tastefully decorated, the bathroom had a bath and separate shower unit. Oh, and we had roses in our rooms.
There were horses galloping about, chickens on a perch, and the sound of turtle doves. They have a beautiful tea room with friendly staff, a rustic chapel, and you can book a beauty therapist for specialised treatments.

This is such a beautiful farm with such a tranquil atmosphere and I will definitely return.
Spoil yourself, switch off your phone and get off the grid!
