Lights, aircons and free fibre-wifi. 4 star Tourism graded guesthouse, situated in, a farming village in the heart of the Cape Winelands, just 45 min from Cape Town International Airport.. Wellington Country house consists 4 guest bedrooms. The pool deck and three of the rooms have views of the neighboring vineyards and Limietberg mountains. All our rooms are air-conditioned. No self-catering available. Many MTB and cycling routes provides great riding. Shops, pharmacy and doctors closeby (1.8km). Our style is Hygge, easy and relaxed. Wellington Country House is suitable for a peaceful quiet break, enjoying the quiet ambience, come and enjoy our home in the Cape Winelands. Lounge around the pool. NO PARTIES. no drugs/dagga etc allowed on property. No nudity . We are set in a picturesque valley surrounded by orchards and vineyards, we are not on a farm as such.

We wish to thank Mara for her hospitality during our stay. She accommodated all our needs and the facilities were great. The guesthouse have beautiful views of the vineyards and the room was spacious and beautifully decorated with beautiful linen and towels. If you are looking for quality, look no further than Wellington Country House. The combination of exquisite mountain views, beautifully presented breakfasts, a lovely plunge pool and Mara’s hospitality made our 3 week stay in Wellington the most relaxing, peaceful and reinvigorating holiday we’ve had in years. It’s location provides a perfect hub from which to explore the surrounding wine lands and many other of the Boland’s finest attractions. We came as guests and left as family.

This is a lovely guesthouse, with magnificent views over the vineyards and mountains. But we didn't get the privacy we expect in a venue of this nature. Our 'suite' was not a suite at all: it's two bedrooms next to each other, with a passage running directly past the rooms that the staff kept using to service the other room. So basically you're lying on your bed with the door open, and people are walking past or calling each other down the passage. Not ideal. Check me in and then leave me alone until I ask for something.
It's also not the venue's fault that the swimming pool pump had broken while we were there. But having people loudly debating the niceties of a pool pump right outside our room makes it hard to work or relax.
Maybe we just caught them on an off day. Could have been 5 stars. Wasn't.

When guests check in for business it is reasonable to assume that when their vehicle is not on the premises, the guests are out for the day. Misunderstandings happen but very rarely. Our staff will never intrude while guests are in the rooms, as much for their own integrity as for the guest’s privacy. My staff are very well trained and usually complimented by our guests. We specifically arrange any critical maintenance after 10am when guests are out. When the pool goes on the blink in 40+ weather and two days before an excruciating hot weekend ahead, it constitutes an emergency. Yet we try very hard not inconvenience guests. We take great care not to disturb guests and have a quiet policy. Staff are to be seen rarely and heard only when replying to or serving guests. We are usually complimented for great service. We have no control over the rooms prospective guests choose to book. Discerning business travellers are very comfortable in the luxury suite. Families or a group of friends usually prefer to book the very popular budget friendly family room suite with 2 adjacent bedrooms and full family bathrooms and sitting area over-looking the pool. We try our utmost to make every visit pleasurable and all every guest is a VIP and we value your support and feedback.

Had a very pleasant experience and can highly recommend this property. They make you feel welcome and go out of there way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Very centrally located. The pool is so inviting especially in the summer months and they have indoor fireplaces which I didn't experience but can just imagine the cozy ambiance in the winter months.

A very pleasant, comfortable guesthouse situated in a nice quiet location. We were welcomed by the hostess and staff and immediately made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The rooms were clean and well prepared with comfortable beds and everything we required. We had an excellent home made breakfast out overlooking the Boland mountains. The extra suprise was to find our car had been washed before our departure. We highly recommend this guesthouse and will return.

We have made wrong choice in booking this place. Wel where there for business and the room was not what we hopped. Small and the badroom was hidden behind a closed, which was never informed before our in any explanation of the guesthouse. Very friendly host and very helpful but for us not the best choice. Also small double bed. In and out the guesthouse was with 3 different keys and our room was next to the entrance so many passage in and out. Clean place but we made wrong choice.

Thank you for taking the time to review to your room. We ‘re sorry that your expectations were not met, despite clear pictures. It is a pity you chose to book our smallest budget room, the Cap Classique Suite might have been more to your liking, but perhaps out of your price range. This is Africa and unfortunately we prefer to keep guests safe and secure; hence the security gate. It is standard practice to have lockable room, so two keys may be annoying but ensures a peaceful night’s rest. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday.

The Country House is in a quiet suburb of Wellington adjacent to some vineyards. This is a residential home converted to a guest house. There is an open deck in the garden with great views and a pool area. Breakfast was very good and the staff were attentive. Only gripe was the room was a wee bit small, ( typical family bedroom).

I have travlled the world so to speak. Never felt more at home than in this clean , quiet guest house with superb views next to a vineyard with mountains in the background.
