The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped with the exception of aircons and fans or wi-fi. We had a very good breakfast the following morning. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

The host were very accommodating of our special requirements and made every effort to ensure we had a good stay. This is one lodge I will return to for a longer stay.

We had booked the overnight with included breakfast although it shouldn't have been possible. The landlord fixed this at a glance! Excellent breakfast was servered at the elegant terrasse.
The bathroom was big with lots of towels etc. Very comfortable indeed. Maybe the shower was a bit too big?

Stayed in the lodge again, this time for a week. Great place to be, excellent energy and very cozy. Had a great time sipping wine on the veranda. Clean rooms and service. Beate and Michael are such great hosts. Excellent breakfast and very close to a lot of sights. It is just the place to be.

Highly recommended by us. After several nights in standardized, anonymous accommodations, we greatly appreciated the individual and warm host qualities of Beate and Michael. They welcomed us personally and explained everything about the accommodation and the surroundings in detail. Our room was very clean and apart from a TV we really didn't miss anything. However, the internet was very weak, probably our room was too far away from the router because it was very good in the breakfast room.
The breakfast was lovingly prepared, many things come from their own garden and are healthy. Here only cold cuts were missing. In the near surroundings there is everything you need: restaurants, supermarkets, a gas station, etc..
We felt very comfortable with both of them!

The owners, Michael and Beate, provide a very clean room and warm welcome at their property. Rooms are simple, but totally appropriate and spacious. Fantastic b fast. The owners are committed to placing their guests first. Note rooms do not have AC but ceiling fans and windows provide ventilation. Great value. Ask Michael about local wineries and breweries!

Had to make an emergency stop in Swellendam and came upon the Langeberg lodge. Things happen for a reason I guess. Met the greatest hosts one can imagine. Clean and well equipped rooms. Had a great and relaxing time. I will plan for an "emergency stop" there on my next trip to Swellendam. Thank you Beate & Mike for your great hospitality.

We stopped here on the way back to Cape town along the garden route. We had a lovely spacious room with a fridge and tea making facilities.
Our hosts were delightful and very helpful with finding us a restaurant within walking distance (it was valentines night).
The breakfast was lovely, the only downside, no wifi in the rooms but was in the public areas.
We would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

We stopped at Swellendam on our way eastward, so we didn't have much time to explore the area, but had a very restful and wonderful stay at Langeberg Lodge. The rooms are offset from each other, and hence very private, each with its own small outdoor balcony and bench. Inside, the accomodations were tastefully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything is very new, since the place just opened within the last year or so. There's a beautiful pool out back which we didn't use due to the cool weather. Chris and Joy are great hosts, provided a wonderful breakfast and a great dinner recommendation. We (like another traveler above) also ate at La Sosta, an amazing Italian restaurant with only 6 or 7 tables, which is just a 5-10 min walk from Langeberg Lodge, where we had pasta made just that morning and a great seafood entree with wonderfully complex flavors. Next time we'd like to spend more time exploring the town and environs!

Our family of 4 had 2 units which was ideal for our grown up children.
Hosts very helpful and accommodating with a delicious breakfast prepared by Michael each morning. Good location to explore this region and plenty of helpful advice on where to travel and visit
