Detailed Reviews
A warm welcome from the owner set up a very comfortable overnight stay. Both rooms we stayed had access to the outside, which was an unusual feature. Breakfast was served in the airy dining area and of good quality cooked to your order. Would thoroughly recommend.

+1
Beautiful old house 1796 with a lovely welcome by Etienne on arrival. The rooms were huge with lovely furnishings and bedding. Both rooms had a garden/veranda with chairs and table to sit outside in the evenings.
Breakfast room is again lovely with good attention to detail. Breakfast cooked fresh on request and plentiful. Definitely the best place we have stayed on route. The village is nice and a safe area to walk at night to the restaurants.

Very comfortable, clean room with beautiful furnishings. Home from home. Breakfast was superb. Would definitely recommend and would return to stay again.
We were travelling with my elderly mother. She had the room off ours which was very convenient. We were also travelling with our dauschund and Cypress Cottage made him feel very welcome as well.

Restful night stop, just what was needed. Lovely spacious room with queen size bed, en suite shower loo & basin sparkling clean. Tea/coffee station in room. Spotless linen & warm bedding, electric blanket, wall heater all adding to the comfort of our stay. Full English breakfast included in rate. Welcoming hosts Ettienne & Vera made sure we had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Excellent value for money & highly recommend.

Great stay at Cypress Cottage, lovely hosts, very helpful and knowledgeable. Loved that it is pet friendly and relaxed. The only thing missing for us was a TV in the room, given it's a small town that can close up quite early having dstv in the rooms would be a big plus, esp with kids etc. Great stop over option though and lovely breakfast and garden.

Hosts are very personable, premises are very well restored, venue is quiet and picturesque. Advice given about nearby (walking distance) restaurants and local history. Paintings at Cypress Cottage done by the owners are well worth appreciation

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was happy to give us lots of tips and advice and even called a few places to check whether roads were cleared for us. The room itself was quite comfortable and relaxing, very clean, and the location was within short walking distance of lots of restaurants, cafes, and stores.

There were four of us staying in the Stables of Cypress Cottage, as we were participating in the cycle race Round The Pot. The Stable is the self catering option, with two bedrooms and a bathroom and suited out needs perfectly. The weater was raining and cold but the fire, which had plenty of wood , and the electric blankets on our beds, kept us perfectly warm and the well stocked kitchen was great. Cypress Cottage is almost in the middle of town so we could walk every where, and explore the surrounds..

Wonderful location in a historic cottage. Cypress Cottage has a beautiful garden including pool and the rooms in the historic stables are cozy and equipped with everything you need and a lot of attention and love to detail. Our hosts especially Etienne, were very friendly and had a lot of tipps and recommendations for us. Breakfast was awesome, handmade and very good.
