Located neatly beside Swellendam’ s historic Drostdy Museum, old charm Boutique Hotel Roosje van de Kaap dates back to 1790. It boasts 14 beautifully appointed rooms and two pools in a lush garden setting with stunning views of the Langeberg mountains. As a family friendly hotel, children of all ages are welcome at low prices. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, a historical stable, where guests can also enjoy a candlelit à la carte dinner. The menu consists of distinctive country courses with French and Cape Malay influences. All rooms and public areas have free fast Internet access, flat screen tv’s, bathrooms en-suite and all necessary utilities; the more luxurious rooms are equipped with aircon and slipper baths. Roosje is ideally located in the oldest, calmest part of Swellendam within walking distance of coffee shops, souvenir shops and the mountains of Marloth Nature reserve. The antelopes of the Bontebok Park are at a short distance as well.

Perfect for a stop over on your way east of Cape Town, maybe for a safari, or for a few days stay. Nice restaurants in the town and the hotel itself is lovely with lovely staff and great breakfast. Plus a picturesque and quiet pool area.

We loved our stay here and so close to one of our favourite restaurants in SA. Hotel is pretty, pool is lovely setting and big. Rooms are clean and quirky. Had an issue with the bathroom shower and bath leaking so would stay again but in a different room.

It has been our second stay. We really love it to arrive there after a long flight to South Africa. You feel like in an old Dutch village. Nice swimming pools and garden. We only use the accommodation for a stay over on our way further but it is surely worth to spend more time there.

Hotel Roosje van de Kaap is an excellent option for a stay in Swellendam. It is walking distance to all restaurants and has a beautiful large garden with a swimming pool. All facilities are well maintained and the rooms are comfortable and pleasant. We stayed in the honeymoon room which had a great view and was very private.

Our company's workers that were there for the week enjoyed their stay, they didn't expect to have visitors (two rain spiders) but they enjoyed the rest of the stay. Thank you for accommodating them so well.

A nice hotel within walking distance of the center. It is quiet at night and you can sit outside your room when the weather is good. A spacious room with all necessities. Your car is within the gates and the breakfast in the morning is more than sufficient.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful decor rooms with a lovely fire place for those cold winter nights. Just need to supply more wood and fire starters. A nice english breakfast was served with yoghurt and fresh fruit.

We stayed here over Easter. The hosts were extremely helpful, booking dinner and organising a courier to return items we left. The room was lovely, very clean and welcoming. Would definitely go there again.
