Wildebraam offers several lovely units on a youngberry farm in Swellendam. Nestled in the Hermitage Valley, 2 km from Swellendam, all the units enjoy stunning views of the Langeberg Mountains and guests will revel in the tranquil country atmosphere. All units are fully equipped with towels and linen provided. Games and books are also provided.A minimum 2- night stay over weekends is preferred when booking the larger cottages. Wildebraam is renowned for its liqueurs and deli range produced on site and all guests are welcome to join us for tastings in our cellar Mon-Sat. In addition, Wildebraam has a conference/function venue which can host up to 64 people and both corporate and private functions are very popular.ACTIVITIES: Liqueur & deli tasting at Wildebraam Cellar, horse riding by own appointment with DEE HAZELL, birding, hiking in surrounds or in Marloth Nature Reserve (1.5km), mountain biking and berry picking (in season). A 9-hole golf course is 1.5km away and various sport clubs are in Swellendam. Little ones (and older ones!) will love Sulina’s Fairy Sanctuary and Swellendam also has several art galleries and local potters and artists. Well worth visits could include the local Drostdy museum, Bontebok National Park, De Hoop Nature Reserve, Robertson Wine Route-just to mention a few. There are also lovely day trips into the countryside including Barrydale, Montagu, Robertson, Malgas and Arniston. BUT, most of all, lots of RELAXING!! Wine tasting and country meandering are the order of the day.We look forward to sharing our "berried treasure" with you!

What a lovely place & beautiful surroundings. The accommodation had everything we needed, spacious & comfortable. Right above the tasting room, we could pop down for a treat. Mountain views are breathtaking. Placed just a quick drive to the main town, but enough out in the farm to be tranquil.

We have just enjoyed a delightful stay at this lovely berry farm hosted by Natalie. What a lovely place. Could not fault the luxurious and spacious apartment. Supremely comfy bed. Excellent farm breakfast. Natalie and Shereen were charming, efficient and enthusiastic hosts. We loved it. No need to stay anywhere else! Highly recommend.

Our stay at Wildebraam Berry Estate was comfortable with a beautiful view of the garden and mountains. We had our morning coffee with beskuit on the stoep while watching the birds frolicking in the garden. The unit is well equipped and the bed is comfortable. Unfortunately the tasting room was closed when we wanted to go. Good reason to return!

We were on our way home from a holiday trip and were delayed by tyre problems. We decided on the spur of the moment to overnight at Wildebraam and found the staff and accommodation very pleasant and relaxing. The room and bathroom (shower and bath) were stylish and the self catering equipment were excellent. Very pleasant one night stay

I recommend Wildebraam Berry Estate for 1. the location: it is close to town, close to surrounding areas to explore from. On the farm itself you can do a liquor tasting and of different berry products. The information on all of this were very interesting. 2. the facilities: it is self catering and do have what you need. Braai and fire wood are supplied. The bathroom is spacious and wonderful bath. It is so tranquil to sit on the balcony early morning or at sundown. 3., the friendly hosts and staff: everyone is helpful and eager to please. Their knowledge and information they gladly share. 4 the farm atmosphere: it causes a person to relax and enjoy nature. 5, the most comfortable bed assures that you get a very good night rest or afternoon nap.

What a beautiful venue! Even though it was melting hot when we arrived, the wonderfully cool airconditioned cottage was very welcoming. The cottage is lovely, clean and exceptionally comfortable. We took the kids with, ages 8 and 11, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The patio with the braai was perfect for the warm evenings sitting outside relaxing and watching the beautiful mountain. The cottage has a bath and a shower, huge comfy bed, extra single bed and sleeper couch with a lovely kitchen fitted with everything you might need. All in all just perfect! We got a complimentary liqueur tasting, all made on the farm. The shop is stacked with the most amazing goodies, relishes, jams, chocolates, etc. and we left with handfuls, they were so good! Swellendam has so much more to offer than we ever realised. With the Bontebok Park so close, the lovely town with restaurants, and the natural beauty. It is a must visit for locals and tourists! Thank you Natalie and everyone at Wildebraam, we really had a wonderful time in Swellendam.

Loved the ambiance but expected a little bit more for the value of the money paid. Keeping in mind it is a working farm with best berries etc. BUT if one do stay over the gardens must be neat and tidy.

Hi Riette Did you stay in our Garden Suite on the 28 Dec - unfortunately I cant see your surname? The gardens are extensive and I assure you we have a full time gardener. Unfortunately, with all the rains prior to 20 Dec (not able to work in gardens and the resulting growth of plants and weeds), the fact that everyone was focused on getting the berries harvested on the few sunny days and combined with the fact that staff were on leave from the 20th Dec until 3 Jan, was a little challenging. My sincere apologies that the gardens weren't as tidy as they usually are. Please be assured that our beautiful gardens are being well tended now that all staff are back and the weather is finally living up to our summer expectations. Regards Natalie

We needed team accommodation for 10 and we were offered the owners home on 5he Wildebraam estate. Homely, clean with huge veranda and Braam area. Wildebraam went out of their way to accommodate and assist us. Efficient and friendly service and correspondence. Being close to town made it very convenient.
