We had a lovely time at Aviento. Dewald and Juanita are awesome hosts and made us feel very welcome. The staff was friendly and helpful. The service and breakfast were great and we will definitely visit them again.
We were welcomed by a lovely friendly host. She advised us on the best place to eat and well worth taking her advice. The room was great and had everything that we needed. Loved the great big bathroom. The tea and coffee in the room was an added bonus. Thank you.
Cute, clean and lovely. Good value for money accommodation. Very frienfly Inn Keeper that caters to all needs. Recommeneded for overninght or however many more, its worth it. The breakfast is fresh and tasty and served eith a smile.
Juanita and Dewald go the extra mile for their guests. The food is excellent , the place is spotlessly clean and facilities are impeccable. The Guesthouse is within walking distance to the center of swellendam , the the accommodation cost is the best value for money you will get in swellendam. I travel all over the world for work purposes and Aviento is one of the better guesthouse's I have lived in for a while ......and I am often a long term guest.
Everything was clean & Tidy. Rooms are Private. Owners & Staff are friendly and made me feel right at home. Would definitely visit again soon. Breakfast was top notch. Restaurants in the area are great. Every thing was Central and reachable.
We stayed over for a long time at this establishment and were very well looked after. From what I've experienced, it seems the owner is more than willing to receive feedback, good and bad and tries to go above and beyond to accommodate guests. Juanita and family, Joe and I are very appreciative.
The most loving, caring, friendly people the stay was wonderful, the rooms are beautiful and the breakfast as to die for, I will definitely recommend the Aviento guesthouse to everyone!! 5 star ⭐️ service
I stayed over for the Marloth ultra trail run. The room was very clean and shower excellent. Bead / linen etc good clean with fresh towels. The “ house “ is in easy walking distance to the town, ( that is if you are able to!!) will be back next year.
Great safe and peaceful place to stay over while traveling. Due to the location it can be used as a base for exploring the area. The owner is very friendly and makes one feel at home. The rooms are private, very clean and comfortable. Could do with a aircon, but a fan is provided. Breakfast was great. Will definitely be staying at Aviento during our next visit to the area.
The owner of Aviento is very friendly and welcoming, but there are a number of areas where this B&B can improve if they want to compete with the best out there. There was a small air freshener unit in the room that caused an overpowering smell to permeate the whole room. It made quite a noise during the night, so we eventually moved it to the bathroom and closed the door. These gadgets are not good for human health and should not be used in a guest room. There was only instant instead of filter coffee at breakfast, so we had to find some nice coffee in town later the morning. A guesthouse should always serve good filter coffee. The breakfast was disappointing; the eggs were overcooked (we were not asked how we like the fried eggs done) and the food was served on cold plates, so everything was cold and tasteless by the time it reached the table. The mushrooms seemed to be out of a can instead of fresh. Juanita is really enthusiastic and friendly, but she should listen to the needs of her visitors and look at what other successful B&Bs are doing. We are going back to Swellendam, but will try another guesthouse next time.…
