Our group stay at At Winkfield House was excellent. Sparkling clean rooms, the friendliest of staff, the owners as lovely as can be, attentive and helpful. The grounds are beautifully kept, calm and quiet. We got so lucky to find this place and we will definitely return!! Highly recommended!

My trips to ZA (South Africa) start at Winkfield House. It is there I get the feeling of being back home, the welcome and the way you are taken care of and treated like you are one of the family. The feeling of being safe and secure, even when travelling on your own. To me that is the most important thing on my whole trip. Visiting ZA is safe and secure as long as you listen to the locals on what to do and not to. Then the fantastic thing is that everything in between, that you are not so sure of, is taken care of and you feel treated like a royalty. I also like to emphasise the cleanliness that is superb and another factor that makes me feel like at home. Bearing in mind my demand of a perfect standard at the location I stay in, I will always stay with Katharina and Robert when in ZA. I warmly recommend that you do too! You see, to me, ZA is just as safe as travelling to Iceland, my own country, as long as you get your information directly from the locals.

We stayed here during a work trip for a week. Perfect hosts and great recommendations! Would always come back (for holidays too!). Also, good quality breakfast and a quiet area, so 10/10 for our stay.

We found everything at this guest house amazing - Excellent accommodation which was immaculately clean - The hosts were fantastic and so knowledgeable regarding trips, restaurants and places of interest to visit. They were not only friendly but very professional. The guest house, gardens and facilities are really beautiful, not forgetting the lovely sparkling clean swimming pool. We would not hesitate to return to this guest house and would highly recommend it to family and friends and to anyone who wishes to stay in Somerset West. We would like to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you to Robert and Katerina for making this a wonderful stay in South Africa.

A better Bed and Breakfast will be difficult to find, not only in Somerset West but in the Helderberg region. The hosts were spectacular, rooms perfectly clean and meals very scrumptious. Large, well kept property and sparkling pool.

Back after a long while. The same friendly welcome from Robert and Katharine plus the ridgebacks. This includes the puppy who is still finding his way. Interacting with the other guests, as always, is interesting. This time a two photographers that specialise in flower photographs. Each visit has been really good. And we leave with a new story. The accommodation and breakfast is tops. Have stayed in many places and this one wins first prize. Will be back, keep a room open.

Nice people, Comfortable place. Easy to access. Very efficient location near Somerset to get quick access to almost everywhere. Only critical point would be breakfast cost that is 150 rands and is as expensive as having lunch in a restaurant. We've preferred to pass on it.
