The breakfast "buffet" was not really great, but the hosts of the lodge tried their best to make our stay pleasant. Their garden is absolutely gorgeous and a pleasure to sit outside your room for a sun downer.
This lodge was located near my friends house. And we decided to stay here for 3nights. Owner was really kind and breakfast was nice. We enjoyed different table making every morning! Also owner showed us tortoise at their garden. After i came back japan, i wrote a mail to them but i think it won't be get them because of strike of post office. So i'd like to say thank you so much and see you again!
Africa Lodge was the place to be for the last 3 days of our Southafrican vacation. And it is a wonderful place to be!!! The hosts are so friendly and helpfull, the breakfast outside a good start in the day, the lovely garden with the flowers and blooming bushes, the nice big pool to relax and lie in the shade or sun...everything was perfect and we loved it. We will be back !!!!!
From the moment of our arrival to our departure we were made to feel at home.Wolf and Annalise were the perfect hosts.Nothing was too much trouble for them--from advice where to eat, attractions worth visiting and local markets. The accommodation was excellent waking up to a beautiful garden. Our grandaughter fell in love with the tortoises in the garden.Breakfast was amazing with such variety.Certainly a great place to stay.Thank you Wolf and Annalise for a lovely Africian experience in your Lodge. Will see you again.Hilary and Margaret Keller.
Family room great size and tastefully furnished. We focused exploring The Winelands area and The Strand. Don't know how pleasant the drive to/from Cape Town in rush hour would be. All homes in this upper class neighborhood behind gates. Wonderful breakfasts. Helpful hosts. In the winter we were the only guests, so didn't see the garden/grounds. Take paper & pen for instructions on how to get back on to the highway in both directions. It's easy one way, not so, to remember from the other, esp. at night. Wolf helped heave the luggage upstairs.
