I have stayed at the Roosboom on buisness for the past 6 or 7 years and this is always cosnsitently good. They owners are great hosts and have a geat attention to detail, the suites are well equiped and most have spectaculiar views.
Readers I have never travelled on business and stayed in a guest house until this trip. This is a lovely place. The owners are very hospitable. The rooms are large, clean, well appointed and always tidy. Cooked breakfast was welcomed each morning. The owners can't do enough for you..... The area feels safe. There is a great Thai restaurant about 5 minutes walk away and also a small supermarket for any provisions. Other than that though - not much about do you'll need a car or reliable driver. If you are looking for somewhere to relax, be comfortable, feel welcome - I'd recommend this place.
Our host, Ian, is one of the most genuine and helpful people in the business. Attention was paid to detail when they decided on the finishing touches in this guesthouse and for a change you can actually make a cup of real coffee in the room, not the ubiquitous Nescafe sachets that we've come to expect. The only down side for me was that there was no double bed in the room but two singles together. Still comfortable though.
We have stayed at Roosboom many times over years of travel and can confirm that Roosboom is consistently the best. Rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable and the view is worth buying a bottle of wine to sip on the verandah and enjoy! Thanks Mabel and Ian for being wonderful hosts. We look forward to our next visit.
Had the pleasure of staying at the Roosboom last week while over on business. The views were stunning, the accomodation was superb and the hosts Ian and Mabel and Candi were great, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was a delight and with a view that took your breath away, room was lovely and could not fault it. Will CERTAINLY be going back again..THANKS GUYS
