From the moment you arrive to the sad moment you leave this is a very special place! From the wonderful team, to the delightful hosts, Leon and Luke, you know every whim will be taken care of! The rooms are extremely well equipped and could not be cleaner - a measure of the team in place.

The location is well positioned for both Stellenbosch, Somerset West, and Hermanus, but particularly for the surrounding winelands and restaurants.

The pool and gardens are kept beautifully. The team that maintain them are so polite and respectful of the guests, with very exacting standards. It is a pleasure to walk through the estate or just laze at the pool, as we frequently did!

Thank you - it was a very special stay.

Best stay ever! The value for the price is unbeatable. The accommodation was excellent—impeccably clean, attention to detail evident everywhere, and the space was both beautiful and spacious. The service was top-notch, and the food was not only delicious but also had a great variety of flavors. Plus, it was a bonus for us knowing they offered Fairtrade and environmentally friendly products. Highly recommend!"

Definitely staying here again!

Vredenburg Manor House is a beautifully restored, historic Cape Dutch homestead, located in stunning Western Cape wine country. The staff and management were welcoming, helpful and professional, and made our stay very enjoyable. Our room was large and tastefully furnished, with a very comfortable bed and a luxurious ensuite bathroom with heated floor. The breakfasts were delicious and generous with plenty of choices. In all, an absolutely wonderful and well run place to stay. We highly recommend Vredenburg Manor House!

But a gem we discovered as we entered the gates. Beautiful flowing lush green gardens surrounding the Manor house. The host Greg stepped out all covid complient, welcoming us and checking us in. He acquainted us with all the amenities, offering us tea or coffee. When took us to our absolutely beautiful room, explaining all the rules and luxury amenities. We had the freedom to explore the stunning public area rooms (lounges, receprion room, fornsl dining room, library, honesty bar, patio and gardens)

Leon gave some advice about surrounding wine farms should we want to explore.

Leon, Luke and Carlynne prepared and served us a wonderful 3 course meal as our request as it was our anniversary. A beautiful romantic table for 2 was set up on the patio overlooking the gardens and sparkling pool in a moonlight setting.

We had their very own Vredenberg Manor Sauvignon Blanc wine and decadent rose sparkling wine to perfect the evening.

We found that perfect place for the perfect occasion.

Leaving the next morning after an excellent
Breakfast.

We left with promises to be back.

Thanks Leon and Luke for this great extra mile experience.

This establishment is in such a pristine condition and so well kept by Leon and Luke. Everything is well organised with friendly staff and great service. They are very Covid conscious and there are proper safety measures in place which makes you feel at ease. The accommodation is an absolute delight, with the most comfortable beds and a luxurious bathroom, even a walk-in closet with loads of space to unpack. There's so much history with the manor house being over 200 years old and it's refreshing to see the ongoing efforts to maintain the property, because one feels like you literally traveled back in time. Their gardens have the most beautiful sections, full of stories, so it's easy to see how it can cater for intimate weddings or other events. One has to appreciate the interior of the manor house as each piece of artwork and furniture adds to the charm of its bygone era. The magic is found in the details. I can go on and on even though we were there for only one night. I would however want to leave this last comment, and that is that I'm so pleased that such a beautiful historic establishment have owners that compliments its worth and that they value its grandeur because that really made a difference in our stay.

We had the pleasure of hosting our Wedding at Vredenburg Manor. The rooms are spacious, elegant & comfy, from the original rooms to newly built garden cottages. The food (dinner & breakfast) was delicious, which can only be overshadowed by the helpfulness and service of the staff. Thank you Luke & Leon for a most memorable occasion and incredible stay!

Luke and Leon run a really tight ship at this beautiful Dutch Manor House. The grounds and the main house are really stunning. Breakfast is fantastic overlooking the large pool, and we even had the most amazing BBQ one night as well . Most of the rooms are on a B& B basis and there are also 2 self catering cottages. We actually stayed in one of the lovely cottages, breakfast is not included if staying in the cottages but you can choose to have breakfast if you so wish. This place is very popular, we have already booked for next February. Additionally would just like to add this venue is very safe, as they are double gated .

ABSOLUTELY recommend! From stunning grounds and beautiful spots to take in the views from inside and outside to delicious breakfast and the most amiable and ‘will run the extra mile’ staff! Will definitely be returning as it has been dubbed ‘our spot’.

The room accommodates for all your needs, is exceptionally clean and thoughtfully set out.

An absolute gem!

Having stayed 4 times in this excellent place, I am always delighted to be back. This impressive historic house, situated amongst farmlands, is superbly run by Luke and Leon.
It is amazingly convenient for day trips to Cape Town, the Winelands and Hermanus as well as for the airport.
Ideal base for a short trip to the Western Cape.
