This was a return trip, we had visited back in November and it was so good that we decided to go back again in March. Once again, it was the perfect place to stay for a relaxing holiday. Mario was the perfect host and attentive to every detail and need and as always very accommodating. The room we attend 8n is lovely and comfortable and very private. The breakfasts are to die for, the fruit platters are out of this world and who could ask for more than the amazing choice of eggs (provided from the chickens in the garden) or if you prefer a cheese and meat platter, croissants....All the food is beautifully presented and freshly prepared and served at a table of your choice in the amazing gardens. There are three rooms available to stay in, each different but beautifully furnished and equipped in their own way. If you are looking for a place to relax away from everyone else, this is it. We will definitely be back when we can.

We were warmly welcomed and pampered by Mario, the owner of the Villa Adalbert. His place is absolutely amazing and unique, just like a royal palace.
The breakfast was first of all fresh, with eggs from their own chicken, very tasty and very good looking.
Everything is high quality, from furniture to food and service.
We were impressed by the gardens, which are like a green sanctuary surrounding the whole property, perfectly maintained. They are looking out of a magazine.
We were feeling blessed to be able to stop for a while and enjoy the silence in the gardens.
The shared spaces are very interesting organized, there is a place maching every mood or season :).

You can see and feel the perfectionism of Mario in everything.
Simply the best I’ve seen and experienced in my life.
Thank you, Mario!

Gosh! What a lovely guesthouse! Our room was perfect, beautifully decorated and spacious, with a gorgeous lime green painted bathroom, light and fresh - and we had our own private veranda.
The guesthouse was So private and peaceful with beautifully kept gardens and a great swimming pool. We were so spoilt with delicious breakfasts every day, made with only the freshest ingredients.
We honestly could nt have been happier. The location of the guesthouse was quiet, but at the same time only a 10 minute drive to a super shopping center and Stellenbosch was just a little further away. We would highly recommend this gorgeous guesthouse if you want to be near Cape Town and Stellenbosch. Mario, our charming, friendly host, was always around in case of questions. We ll be certainly coming back !! Asap!!! Thank you Mario!

A perfect long weekend getaway. Mario the owner is passionate about his business excellence, and it shows in all the perfect little details. Nothing is too much trouble for Mario. The rooms are superb, spotlessly clean and the bedding comfortable and luxurious. The breakfasts blew us away on perfect presentation ... with organic eggs freshly laid by his own chickens and served every morning. Even the bowls of fruits look too pretty to eat, with a variety of seasonal fruits included.
We will highly recommend this guesthouse, and look forward to booking there again for our next stay in Cape Town.

We had a marvellous time at the Villa Adalbert. The cottages allow a real privacy and are set in a beautiful and very well tended garden with pool. The whole estate is equipped to the finest and the exposed arts and paintings are the finest. Breakfast with the fruit platter is out of this world and the egg dishes presented in a very artful style - like paintings. And the eggs of the own henns taste just like nothing else in this world. Mario is an outstanding host and every detail in the Villa is absolutely to perfection.
Thank you a lot and we will certainly be back.
Helen and friends

Villa Adalbert is an oasis of peace and harmony.
Mario brings hospitality to a new level. He prepared our breakfast with much love and care, assisted us with day trips, arranged for a driver and suggested beautiful places for dinner. We were impressed with everything!

A beautiful setting with superb features, great resources & fantastic service. Nothing is too much trouble for Mario & his attention to every detail is incredible. He & the house team look after both you and your environment so well, anticipating your needs & offering suggestions for places to visit, booking restaurants, organising transport & so much more. We loved it can’t wait to return, which we most certainly will.

Beautiful, luxurious and classy. Best garden ever seen, excellent breakfast, superb rooms. We had to force ourselves to leave Villa Adalbert and visit other attractions in Cape Town, as the place is so beautiful and relaxing that we’d have stayed there all day/all days. Owner (Mario) was so much taking care of anything and was so helpful.

We stayed for 5 days the second time at Mario's guesthouse. All is wonderful - the gourmet breakfast with fresh ingredients of the garden - fruits vegetable eggs...Mario has a magical garden. Each corner is wonderful and Mario is such a professionell host with the best service you can have. A wonderful accomodation and also at a fair price!.

What an experience! Literally a slice of paradise from the enchanting garden and pool area, stunning Chinese chickens that lay colorful eggs to the amazing host, Mario.
Mario made us feel at home, like lost- lost friends and which great recommendations to pass time. He is also a fabulous chef and the breakfast and coffee will blow your mind.
You will not regret spending at least 3nights or more in the magnificent cottages.

Lovely!
