Villa Adalbert is an oasis of peace and harmony. Mario brings hospitality to a new level. He prepared our breakfast with much love and care, assisted us with day trips, arranged for a driver and suggested beautiful places for dinner. We were impressed with everything!

Beautiful, luxurious and classy. Best garden ever seen, excellent breakfast, superb rooms. We had to force ourselves to leave Villa Adalbert and visit other attractions in Cape Town, as the place is so beautiful and relaxing that we’d have stayed there all day/all days. Owner (Mario) was so much taking care of anything and was so helpful.

A perfect long weekend getaway. Mario the owner is passionate about his business excellence, and it shows in all the perfect little details. Nothing is too much trouble for Mario. The rooms are superb, spotlessly clean and the bedding comfortable and luxurious. The breakfasts blew us away on perfect presentation ... with organic eggs freshly laid by his own chickens and served every morning. Even the bowls of fruits look too pretty to eat, with a variety of seasonal fruits included. We will highly recommend this guesthouse, and look forward to booking there again for our next stay in Cape Town.

We were warmly welcomed and pampered by Mario, the owner of the Villa Adalbert. His place is absolutely amazing and unique, just like a royal palace. The breakfast was first of all fresh, with eggs from their own chicken, very tasty and very good looking. Everything is high quality, from furniture to food and service. We were impressed by the gardens, which are like a green sanctuary surrounding the whole property, perfectly maintained. They are looking out of a magazine. We were feeling blessed to be able to stop for a while and enjoy the silence in the gardens. The shared spaces are very interesting organized, there is a place maching every mood or season :). This was a return trip, we had visited back in November and it was so good that we decided to go back again in March. Once again, it was the perfect place to stay for a relaxing holiday. Mario was the perfect host and attentive to every detail and need and as always very accommodating. The room we attend 8n is lovely and comfortable and very private. The breakfasts are to die for, the fruit platters are out of this world and who could ask for more than the amazing choice of eggs (provided from the chickens in the garden) or if you prefer a cheese and meat platter, croissants....All the food is beautifully presented and freshly prepared and served at a table of your choice in the amazing gardens. There are three rooms available to stay in, each different but beautifully furnished and equipped in their own way. If you are looking for a place to relax away from everyone else, this is it. That we departed VA after just a mere night in heaven. Mario has created something very special. The cottages are a unique expression of his patent talent and they are also spotless. The gardens and pool are a triumph. It certainly was a bitter sweet experience, as i immediately recognised my error in only booking one night, upon arrival.
