Wow!! So much entertainment for the whole family! We were ushered out of bed early every morning by the kids wanting to try something new. Paddle boats, canoes, putt-putt, tennis, games room and even swimming. And every evening we would light a fire and watch the kids play on the grass and we will get a chance to put our feet up and enjoy a well-earned glass of wine. Truly a place we will visit again!! The shop was surprisingly reasonably priced, you could see they were not trying to make loads of money from our lack of planning😉 Chalet was extremely clean and tidy and maintenance showed up within 5 minutes of us calling reception. A friendly fairy arrived every day to do some cleaning. What more could you want?! Jip, will definitely be returning in the near future.
The unit we stayed in had one bedroom and a sleeper couch in the lounge. However, it was not very spacious so I guess if there had been more than just the two of us it would have been a bit crowded. The resort itself is clearly intended for families and could become a bit noisy if all the units are occupied with families with children. Location is excellent and the resort is well kept.
Not a five star star resort but clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious resort with beautiful surroundings. Plenty of activities for children as well as a restaurant with nice food at reasonable prices.
The chalets are like small versions of your own home. Always clean and it's easy to feel at home. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The resort offers activities to keep you busy as well as an entertainment program for the kids.
Our last holiday in South Africa for a while before heading to the UK for a few years so we thought we would use up our current time share points and booked into Baywater Village for a week. We have some adult chilfren popping in over the weekend. I never ever have any expectations of resorts looking like the pictures they post on social media so my expectations were neither raised nor lowered on arrival. Very friendly staff at every poi t of contact, from the gentleman at the gate to the reception to the bar tender.. They all deserve full points for friendliness and attending to any/all needs. On arrival at our 2 bed, 2 bath chalet, we found it to be not unpleasant and was very clean with all the necessary things we would need for a self catering stay. I was it at all unhappy with the chalet. It had definitely had its best years quite some time ago but it was OK, but not WOW! We went on walkabout to take advantage of the special at the bar/pool area and it was very clear that the current staff were trying to make do with an obviously shoe string budget. They were definitely trying to make what is now a rather well worn resort into something it cannot be unless the owners invest some money into some well needed renovations.. This is a resort stuck well and truly in the 1980's and needs to be renien into the 21st century. Don't get me wrong, it has a lot of fun things to do and enjoy, but they are all in need of an upgrade. I tried the pool, not great with the paint having long flaked off in many places and just ot inviting.. But it was functional. We have a week still ahead if us and I will update this post, but unless Cinderella's fairy godmother arrives with her magic wand, it's still going to be shabby chic.. Without the chic! …
Nice place with very good management team I would go back there thousand times nice activities for couples as well as for families or friends I'm going to baywater village again with my family this time around.
Best part is the staff, probably one of the friendliest places I've ever been to. Lots for the whole family to do. Very clean and the houses have everything you might need. Big thumbs up for Terence at the Bar!!!! I will come again
Lovely surroundings but water terrible which we should have been advised of. The water available in the kios by expensive. I thought free water should have been provided. Furniture needs some upgrading, showing wear. However, good facilities for children.
We stayed in these lodges for a week. What a nice place. Near all the other smaller towns like Knysna, George. Near the beach and the beautiful Swartvlei lake. You can relax here and enjoy all the scenery
Have spent four days at Baywater and enjoyed as always. They seem to be revamping the shalets but ours was fine. We find the location so convenient to get to all the beaches towns we like to visit. Staff seem to be friendly and our unit was well serviced. Also find it safe to walk around the area both in and outside the complex. We were 2 couples and had more than enough space. Thanks
