The hotel is what you expect from an old hotel in SA. It is run by a family and they treat the guests an extension of their family. The rooms are old but comfortable, clean and spacious, we even had our own balcony. The owner, Lauren, is a treasure trove of local info on the area. Will definately be back.

Definitely not up to scratch for a four star hotel ... -staff friendly which made up for the dirty carpets and the rest which I wouldn’t like to say on here .. -there is better accommodation for the same price .. (which made made me feel a little ripped off ! ) Thanks to the staff otherwise I don’t recommend.

All though the hotel is old fashioned the rooms are adequate and the beds very comfortable. The Barth rooms have been renovated and the shower was great. The hotel has a large bar with a friendly atmosphere. A full English breakfast was included in the very reasonable rate.
