This AfriCamps location is situated in Pat Busch Mountain Reserve. 2000 Hectares of spectacular mountain fynbos with streams, mountain dams, birdlife and various animals such as bucks, fallow deer, Nguni cows and even a very shy leopard. Our glamping tents are tucked away in the Cape fynbos and look out over a folded green valley with the Langeberg as a gorgeous backdrop.

I have been trying to get into Africamps for ages! Finally the opportunity came up for a 3 night stay. We had the best time ever and added on an extra night...and then another...! Needless to say anymore. A special shout out for the lovely couple management team Johan and Mia who couldn't do enough for us. We will be back!!!

So disappointed with the pat busch africamps resort. Myself and the fam decided to book a couple of days at this luxury tented accommodation, from the website the place looks awesome as per the first photo attached. On arrival at first sight we thought we were at the incorrect venue, after managing to track the resort manager down he confirmed that we were at the right place. I then advised him that this is not what was portrayed on the website and that it’s misleading advertising. The unit itself did not have the view that was portrayed on the website, and nowhere on the website does it specify that all units are not the same, on top of that the furniture inside and outside of the accommodation is in need of some serious maintenance. There was no WiFi reception or at least we were not able to get any internet access from it as advised on the website. We then decided to seek alternative accommodation at another establishment to try and salvage what was left of our getaway. I contacted africamps head office today to try and enquire why they are misleading the public and to find out if I would be refunded for their unethical business practices. They are not interested in entertaining my concerns and requests which is why I decided to post this, STAY AWAY. I’m tired of companies taking consumers for a ride, this is totally unacceptable. Please share this far and wide so that everyone is aware of this establishment.

Hi Wesley, thank you for raising your concern with us, we are sorry that the tent did not meet your expectations. Indeed, after a busy peak season we do have maintenance planned on some of our outdoor wood furniture, which naturally picks up wear and tear from the hot Robertson sun. The images on our website were taken very recently and are accurate portrayals of a selection of our tents and activities, however not all 10 tents have the exact same view, as they are dotted along a mountain valley, some being higher up than others. It is simply impossible for all 10 tents to have the exact same view. We appreciate your feedback of this specific tent, however many guests enjoy the privacy of this unit. It is our most secluded tent and it is a wonderful birdwatching spot. Had you stayed to experience the beautiful farm dam, swimming pool, hiking trails and lawns, we are sure you would have enjoyed the Mountain Reserve experience like our many returning guests.

Loved Africamps and will definitely return. The tent had eveything, bar fridge with small freezer, hot water and it's dark in the morning with the shades down as the sun rises early in summer. We stayed in tent 6 but all tents have a great deck with views and a built in braai which we used every day The dam kept our children busy all day swimming and kayaking and I saw other guests catch and release fish. Great family getaway.

Had a lovely stay, and its definately a must to do at one point of your life. The kids especially loved it. There is lots to do, a lovely little shop and the hostess is really very friendly. The only negative was that the towels are really small and seems a bit dated. Our braai grid was also terribly dirty, definately never cleaned. The special touches really will leave us with fond memories and we will definately be visiting the rest of the Africamps. Suggestion: Perhaps have more options with regards to the breakfast and dinner basket, where one can "pick" what you would like to have in your basket? We felt really bad to be so wastefull due to the fact that we did not eat a lot of the food provided.

Thank you for your review Heinmich. We will certainly investigate the condition of the towels and braai grids. Our breakfast and dinner baskets are especially created to offer a wide variety and last even beyond breakfast or dinner. We are sorry to hear you did not finish yours.
