There are so many wonderful things to say about this place and the sweet owners George and Elsabe. We really felt at home here. First, this is an amazing couple! They are so hospitable and made us feel really welcomed. They were quick to give us suggestions on things to do and see in the Karoo and answered any question we might have. Second, George's cooking is outstanding! I recommend eating dinner at the lodge at least once during your stay. Breakfast is phenomenal too....fresh eggs, bacon, yogurt, and homemade granola plus lots more! Their place is central...you can walk anywhere in the town from here. I recommend hiking the koppies and then eating lunch at the Lazy Lizard. The rooms are large, cozy and clean. Definitely recommend booking here.

I was somewhat underwhelmed when we arrived at Karoo Lodge. However, that very quickly changed when we were welcomed and shown to our spacious, comfortable and well appointed room. We had dinner at the lodge and George's cooking was superb ! We can recommend the lamb neck ! The meal was priced very reasonably with generous portions. They also have a good selection if wines at reasonable prices. Breakfast was well prepared and tasty. We recommend Karoo Lodge. .

Hi Tony & Sandy, I do not often land on this page to check on reviews but better late than never. It had been a pleasure to host colleagues from many years ago and brought back fond memories of some really good times. Reflecting also brought back memories of those who passed on and a wondering of what happened to those still around. Thank you for staying at Karoo Lodge
