Awesome place! Such hospitality! And the most friendly people. Would most certainly recommend it! Unfortunately I was there for business only, but would love to go back for longer for leisure! Regards Lee-Ann

Our room at Karoo Lodge was spacious and immaculately clean. Unfortunately, George had just had an operation and was not allowed to cook, so sadly we missed his Karoo Lamb. Elsebe recommended a restaurant a short walk away, which was "interesting", but the food was quite palatable. The breakfast was good and afterwards George took us to see his bees. The family were very friendly and chatty and we felt very relaxed. There is free wi-fi.

My husband and I were doing a road trip on our way to the Cape and Prince Albert was night two on our route. What a good choice of accommodation Karoo Lodge was. It is perfectly situated on the main road through town, but far enough off the road to enjoy a very peaceful sleep. We went for a long walk through the very pretty and interesting town of Prince Albert before dinner and it is easy to explore without getting lost. Although there are enough restaurants to choose from in town, we stayed in and had a superb dinner cooked by George, one half of the couple that owns the establishment. The other half, Elsabe, is a lovely, friendly and helpful hostess. It was perfect to sit under the vines on the stoep and enjoy good food and chat with some of the other guests. The rooms are

We stayed here for one night in December on the way to Plettenburg Bay. I am sorry we did not book in for 2 or 3 nights. The town is delightful and so pretty and our hosts Elsabe and George and their daughter are very friendly and make you feel at home. George is an excellent cook and we had a delicious supper and breakfast. The rooms are very tastefully done and the grounds are very nice with a lovely pool to cool down in.
