This charming Edwardian home, which has been sensitively converted into a stylish boutique B&B, is situated in the heart of the village of Prince Albert. It is run by Colleen & William Penfold, who live on the premises and whose attention to detail, whether it's the garden, the little adjoining antique shop or the meals, makes staying there an unforgettable experience. Meals are served in the flower-scented garden, under the shade of some beautiful mature trees, where the small swimming-pool is perfect to slough off the heat of a Karoo sun-filled day. All the rooms are quiet and comfortable, with beautiful quality bedlinen. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Quaint little B&B which epitomizes why this style of accommodation are so popular. Simple, clean, fresh flowers all making for a place full of charming character.
Welcomed with a most fantastic homemade lemonade we quickly settled down and explored the little shop which is also part of this place. Coline and William are on hand to assist with anything and ensure a very warm stay.
Parking is a little tight so big bakkies may struggle though there is plenty of space on the main road.
Only down side is wifi was not working great for us as we were far from the router but it did not matter as I carry my own
Breakfast was delicious and served a freshly squeezed Apple juice
Overall I fully recommend it to anyone coming this way

Colleen & William have such a lovely little space. beautifully decorated, without been too fancy, but it makes you still feel like you are in total luxury. Colleen was very helpful with letting us split our breakfast times so that we could ride up the pass & back. Would highly recommend to stay here.

We had a fantastic stay at Prince Albert Country Stay. The hosts made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They treated us with cold homemade lemonade on arrival in their beautiful country garden. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated in an old world charm style. A Scrumptious breakfast was served on the verandah with homemade toasted muesli, yogurt and fresh fruit followed by bacon and poached eggs and with some locally sourced produce. We will most certainly go back again.

What an absolute gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Colleen and her husband William made us feel welcome, the pool was such a treat after a long day on the road. We stayed in the garden cottage. A lot of attention is given to detail. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful hosts and a welcome home made refreshing lemonade (best in the world). An absolute gem of a town. Lovely drive on the R62. This lovely little town has a lot to offer. Our accommodation was world class. The breakfast was absolutely superb, and the garden setting was impossibly beautiful.

May's dairy is an absolute MUST visit. Gorgeous cheese tasting, and the worlds best drinking yogurt.

For the price this was not good enough - Very basic rooms, no breakfast, not on the Main Street - would stay at another option in Prince Albert on our next visit - too little for too much - better option is on the Main Street for example the hotel or the like
