This guest house provides simple comfort with great attention to the smallest details. Good mattresses, bedding and air conditioning accompany minimalistic furnishings. This way the rooms stay fresh and welcoming, without the clutter and fluff of plush decor. We were blown over by Jude and Brian’s hospitality. They are truly here to serve you!! Jude makes a sumptuous breakfast with great coffee and served on the veranda - not to be missed!! Walkable distance from all the shops, and well-priced, this place is a find. We’ll be back.

Our one night stayover was was real value for money. Jude and Bryan are the perfect hosts. The rooms are comfortable and neatly kept and overlooking a well kept Karoo garden. Safe parking and a scrumptious breakfast contributes towards value for money.

We were 4 bikers that stayed over for the night. We were treated like royalties and among all the others good stuff, we enjoyed the best homemade bread ever. We will recommend Travellers Rest Prince Albert to everyone visiting the town.

Travellers Rest is a great choice for accommodation in the beautiful little town of Prince Albert. Travellers Rest’s central location is great with coffee shops, restaurants, and places of interest withing walking distance. The room was very comfortable had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. The large shower was fantastic. Relaxing on the room’s veranda has a highlight for us. Thank you; Jude and Bryan for making us feel so welcome and comfortable. We will most certainly see you again !

We really enjoyed our time and stay at Travellers Rest. The spacious rooms are fitted with air conditioners and the bedding where very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy. Jude and Bryan even arranged dinner at the restaurants. We enjoyed the full English Breakfast that they served and the great discussions that we had. Last but not least we also became acquainted with their two Irish Wolf Hounds that we treated with ice cubes and apples. We will definitely be back

Had a wonderful relaxed stay here. After a long drive I was met by the proprietor Bryan who was friendly, helpful and very obliging. The accommodation was just perfect and set in a wonderful garden. The room and the bathroom received top marks. I really appreciated the cold beers too Bryan! The patio area and upper deck was great for star gazing with virtually no light pollution. Next morning’s breakfast was tasty and adapted to suit my tastes by Jude. Both gave knowledgeable and very helpful advice re my onward travels. It’s a pity I couldn’t have stayed longer as I would easily have.

Everything you'd expect: comfortable, clean, good location but what sets it apart is how hospitable the owners are. Jude made every effort as a host. On our way to Gamgaskloof, she even offered to store some craft baskets we had bought, until our return. We didn't even have to ask, she just saw we were struggling to fit things in the car and offered. Rooms were promptly made up every morning - good linen and towels. Just a lot of attention to detail, which made all the difference.

Jude and Bryan were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The facilities are beautifully laid out, the room we had was simple, elegant and comprehensively accommodating. The deck offered stunning views, garden full of a variety of birds. Breakfast was awesome and really enjoyed the chats.

Ours was a last-minute booking but we were made to feel so welcome.
The room is minimalistic, very clean, good quality linen and towels. Tea and coffee and rusks provided, a patio to enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink. There is also a communal patio where you can get to know other guests. Jude was always very helpful and full of valuable
information about the town. We were going to spend 1 night but ended up spending 2 nights. Highly recommended. Will certainly go back again should we be in the area. Eben and Dot
