We first stayed at the Villa Montebello six years ago when a different couple were running the place. We originally thought it was the same hosts, but after a couple of e-mails we realised Catherine and Philippe had bought the property a few years ago. We were not disappointed, and had a lovely few days with them. We were only able to book the garden room, which is quite small, and we felt a little bit vulnerable with the huge windows overlooking the garden, and anyone else that happens to walk past the windows can look in, but apart from that our stay was quite lovely We were close enough to meet up with friends in Camps Bay and also to visit an extremely interesting market in Haut Bay on Friday and Saturday evenings Our room was extremely clean, as was the whole place, and breakfast was either served inside on inclement mornings, or outside on the patio when the sun was shining. The garden was beautifully maintained and the swimming pool was delicious. Sun loungers and pool towels were provided and we had a truly lovely time…
Catherine and Philippe are fantastic host. The guest house was the perfect location for us. Easy access to the Table Mountain trails and close to "la Colombe", were we celebrated my 65th birthday. I quick Uber ride to the restaurant there and back. The location is super quiet, the view spectacular and the breakfast very tasty.
We have stayed there for almost a week in Hout Bay. The B&B is on Mount Rhodes, which gives you a breathtaking scenic view. The place is well maintained (not super new , but nice) and the garden and the pool is really nice! We have had the garden room, which a bit small, but nice. Only downside: Everybody can look into your big window when passing by. The extra highlight are the 2 owners, Catherine and Philip , which are nothing but nice. Nothing was too much trouble to them , and the breakfast was amazing. We would definetely come back.
We were there for 2 nights and enjoyed it. Very nice atmosphere with the owners Catherine and Philip. Beautiful garden and an unbelievable great handmade breakfast buffet. Done with love. The location is great. Five min to Chapman’s peak drive , 5 min to beaches and 20 min to Cape Town city. Go there!
Sadly we only had one night here but in future we would stay longer. Catherine and Phillipe were wonderful hosts and most welcoming. The property is high up on the mountain with wonderful views and spacious (flat) garden and stunning swimming pool. We had the top floor suite which was excellent, very spacious and beautifully decorated with great views. The breakfast was delicious especially Phillipe's fruit cocktail. A lovely property and one we would definitely return to as you were also made so welcome.
