Whenever we are in Cape Town, we stay at the Tarragon. The place is tranquil and the view from the garden/terrace is so wonderful, yet it has a good access to the city, tourist attractions, and etc. Those who want to have a quiet and undisturbed holiday in CT must definitely stay there.

It has been our 8th stay in The Tarragon and with Mark and Julia. And as 7 times before it never disappoints. Wonderful location, immaculate rooms, lovely hosts and excellent staff. That’s what The Tarragon stays for.

What a treasure of a place. Everything was perfect and my sleep was just the best, swallowed in bedding comforts with the bliss of stillness and peace. I really wanted to stay for longer. Planning on making this my me time local getaway.

A hidden gem in Hout Bay! A truly tranquil setting, with fully equipped luxury cottages, it’s perfect for family/group travel as there are multiple cottages with a variety of room setups. We had a fabulous, restful time there and Mark & Julia go the extra mile to give their personal touches to every corner. And as for the art… 🤩what a delight :)

Peaceful, beautiful, safe, stylish accommodation with very friendly staff. 17 years ago we stayed at Ivy cottage and now at Thyme cottage. We loved the views at the surrounding mountains and valley. In real everything is even more spacious than in the pictures.

We went to the Tarragon to celebrate my sister's birthday and it is hard to believe that we were still in Cape Town. We were four adults, 2 kids (both 4 years old) and a 9 month old infant (which they were kind enough to allow given that the limit is 6). Hidden gem doesn't do it justice. We stayed in Thyme, and although it is right by the communal pool, it did not feel like we lacked privacy at all, more like we had direct access to the pool any time. That was great for my daughter, who loves swimming. It is just such beautiful scenary, and you have access to everything you need and then some incuding books and board games, toys for the kiddies. No request was too much and the daily service was a bonus. The only slight disppointment was that the pool was not warm at all (it was overcast and it is solar heated) but that didn't stop us. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a break without a long drive and wants to be hidden in plain sight, right here in Cape town.

This is our fourth stay at the Tarragon. We had a lovely time. The TRragon is perfectly situated on the side of Table Mountain close to Hout Bay. The Villa is well equipped and cleaned daily. The gardens are beautiful with great views of the country side. Thanks again Mark and Julia, it was great to see you again and look forward to our next visit

We stayed at The Tarragon with our family of four. Two young children of 3 and 1 years old. The place is a true paradise. - Beautifully situated, overlooking a valley. - Nearby Hout Bay highlights and Cape Town just around the corner. - The garden is green and lush, the pool nice. - The rooms were spacious and clean - and cleaned every day. - There were lots of toys for our children to play with Mark, Jason and Caroline, you were super welcoming and helpful. Thanks a lot. It was with pain in our hearts that we left.

We both love the Tarragon. Our second stay and already booked for next year. The cottages are set in a beautiful garden overlooking the valley and the mountains. The pool is very welcome and sun beds and umbrellas available for guest. The units are very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Fresh towels every day and bed linen changed every third day. The staff are great, nothing too much trouble and so pleasant. Mark and Julia who are lucky enough to own the Tarragon are most welcoming and helpful. All in all a great place to stay....need I say more!

We absolutely loved our time staying at Tarragon with our 3 boys (7, 9 and 11). Its the most beautiful and peaceful place and felt very hard to leave. The garden and pool are gorgeous with such wonderful views, and our boys loved exploring and feeding the fish in the koi pond. It felt safe and secure. It was clean and serviced daily. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Really couldn't fault it and we really hope to be back.
