My love and I, had the MOST brilliant time at Hout Bay Manor. The staff were approachable, genteel & adroit. They met our every outlandish request and whim with earnest zeal and a smiling sense of humor. The cocktails were delectable, and the panacota desert - needless to say, one of the most difficult dishes de get spot on - was absolutely flawless. And the Sangoma room - what a marvel! Where do I even begin? A true seer in inanimate form; she is as beautiful as she is homely and psychedelic. Paying the extra amount for the honour to bathing in her majesty, is most indubitably worth it. Gratitude Manor House, we'll be back, quilts and all, xxx
A great spot to stay if you are visiting Hout Bay llandudno Chatmans peak, noerdhook. The very quiet hotel nestled in the corner of Hout Bay is like stepping back in time. Cosy rooms and a nice pool makes it a great place to rest and chill. Bar closes way too early Breakfast starts too late 7.30 - if you are on a business trip this needs to be earlier.
We celebrated my birthday in the beautiful terrace area of this amazing historical property. We decided to do a brunch and the menu is creative and so delicious. The waiters and management are very attentive. This is going to be one a regular choice for us.
We have stayed in Hout Bay for many years and never visited Hout Bay Manor. It is a small boutique hotel slightly tucked away off the main road.We had a lovely meal in their gardens. Great staff, wonderful ambiance, good service and friendly staff. Not as frenetic as the better known places in HB. Definitely worth a visit and cost any Brits an arm and a leg!!
Its such a joy to come back to this beautiful place. Sadly we could only stay for one night but the place still has that balance of perfection, happiness and ambience which so few places manage to create Nothing is too much trouble and the food is exquisite As my wife says...this is her "Happy place"
Lovely experience. Greeted by very warm and efficient security. Led through beautiful courtyard and pool area. We had asked for an early checkin and everything was ready for our arrival. The place has a colonial but bright and quirky feel. Room was bright, airy with good quality bed etc. Lovely nights sleep. Breakfast was of a really good standard. All in all, great value, booked whilst the latest covid scare was happening, and would recommend
Leonard got our vote today - the most mannerly, attentive and relaxed server who made our lunch so pleasant. Menu selection good, courtyard environ as always lovely. Reassuring covid processes in place.
Super nice house which i felt was typical for South Africa. Nice Personel and cool rooms and great breakfast. We extended our stay as it was so good here. We really slept perfectly and would be immediately come back!
I’ve stayed at Houtbay Manor many times over the years, sometimes on my own and sometimes with my family and children. I’m always struck by the beauty of the building and interiors, especially the lounge and the rooms. The service is friendly and the food is very good. I’ll lost definitely return.
We had pre-booked the high tea to enjoy in the garden. The quantity of food was massive and the price was very correct. The food was OK, but do not expect anything fine or delicate. It will definitely satisfy you... The setting in the garden was nice and very quite, and the service very friendly and professional.
