My boyfriend and me started our South African holiday here with another couple. We loved the rooms (very luxurious), the garden (like eden), breakfast (too much too nice.. I loved the fruit and cakes. The next morning they gave me more! :), but most of all we loved the friendly owners. (It is not the commercial kind of kindness, but...

What a wonderful place to call a home from home in South Africa! Sue and Martin are the rare sort of people who genuinely enjoy being hosts - and are fabulous at it. They know when to be there and when not. They took me (and my friends) under their wing, were fantastic when one of my friends was unwell...

What a surprise to enter a place of timeless charm and old-world luxury. Rooms of character remind one of classic style with features of interest - something to talk about back home. Chill out and enjoy the balconies and view of sea and mountains. Enrobe youtself and have breakfast on the terrace - and enjoy a cocktail in the peace...

We stayed at the Hout Bay Hideaway for one night on a recent honeymoon trip to the Cape. Martin and Sue were excellent hosts - very friendly and helpful. The Skylight Room was very comfortable, and the balcony and garden quite lovely. We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor Victorian bath! We would very much recommend the Hideaway for anyone...

We stayed with Susan and Martin at the Hout Bay Hideaway as part of our honeymoon. We had a fabulous time and they made us feel truly welcome. Each room is individually decorated and has its own benefits. We stayed in a room at the front of the property and the balcony had fabulous views of the bay, which was...

I have just returned from a stay at Hout Bay Hideaway with my Mum and my Sister and I have to say that it is heavenly. The rooms are exceptional and would rival any 5* hotel. From the moment we arrived we realised what a very special place this was - the rooms are beautifully decorated with every attention to...

I write having spent an excellent few days at the Hout bay Hideaway, and cannot praise it highly enough. The hosts, Sue and Martin Collins who took over in July 05 gave a warm and courteous welcome to all their guests, and provided an efficient yet discreet service which allowed privacy to us by being unobtrusive. The setting and location...

The Hout Bay Hideaway, is described as a "guest house" but the service and quality of fittings, from the large beds draped in luxurious cotton bedding, the bathrobes, toiletries and double showers are the things 5* hotels boast. The breakfast, served at a time to suit, on your private terrace, is a 5 course meal. Fresh tropical fruit, warm bread and...
