Absolutely lovely stay in a unique boutique hotel. A stones throw from Hout Bay just outside of Cape Town. This hotel is set inside the national park of Table Mountain with stunning views of the sea and Hout Bay.

I spend a weekend at Tintswalo Atlantic and must say that from all the places in all of God's creation, this is the place for the weary soul to rest. Pure Mercy. (Tintswalo means Mercy in Tsonga, one of SA's 11 indigineous languages.) All the normal luxuries and systems and people associated with a well run hospitable establishment are here,...

I fell in love with Tintswalo from its online photos long before setting foot in South Africa. When I saw it in person for the first time, the photos clearly had not done it justice. When my now-husband and I moved to South Africa two years ago, we decided to have our wedding at Tintswalo. It is a magical place...

It is rather difficult to find the appropriate description for our very special evening at this unique and breathtaking hotel. In fact the word hotel is too mundane alone to best explain the notion of the venue. From the moment we arrived to the time we reluctantly checked out, the service was friendly, attentive, anticipatory and accurate. The attention to...

I recently celebrated my birthday dinner at Tintswalo and the food and hospitality were sublime. We had the very newly launched tasting menu and the only way to describe it is incredible. Called Ocean & Ash the theme of the menu is sea and smoke and is in memory of the fire a few years ago. Chef Guy Clarke has...

My family and I stayed here for 1 night in celebration of my graduation. From the moment we arrived until we left, we were amazed by the outstanding service, exceptional food, gorgeous rooms and impeccable attention to detail. It was truly a 5 star experience and we wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you to all the staff who...

What an amazing start! Location, staff and - exceptionally - food, all top rated! A very unique menu and a fascinating inclusion of the local flora. Although not right in the bustle of Cape Town, management couldn't be more helpful in organising a driver to take me into town when needed, or to organise any tours needed.

For understated but impeccable luxury in one of the most unique, dramatic settings literally in the world, this is your property. Each room is themed with minute attention to detail. The picture windows in the bedrooms and shower are amazing. The main house is welcoming and beautiful. And watching the sun cross the sky all day and set over the...

What a location! Wonderful rooms, spacious, individually designed. Stunning views on Hout Bay and the Sentinel. No noise except for the waves ... Perfect service, great food both for breakfast and dinner. Decent wine list.

Stayed there for a night over Easter. 5 star location, 2 star service. When we got to the room, the view is outstanding but there's no personal touches what so ever. For a 5 star hotel it's all about the experience and this just didn't cut it. We received a generic welcome note in our room.. For such a small...
